I don't disagree, I have way more concern over the offense than the defense but to say Kupp has not been the same the last few years doesn't acknowledge that he's had some injury issues. Had he been healthy his production numbers would likely have been better. You could also say that his being injury prone for the last 3 seasons is in itself cause for concern and I would agree (most of it seems to be ankle related).

What are we getting with this guy is a valid question.

Which is why I was hoping JS was going to target a WR earlier in the draft or in FA. There's still time to bring in a legitimate starter like Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper.
JS did bring in a WR earlier, pick #50, TE/WR Elijah Arroyo. Also Horton was equivalent to a 2nd or 3rd rounder based on talent/potential.
DK was a distraction that wanted a huge new contract, Lockett was running on fumes.
Kupp/MVS/Arroyo/Horton > DK/Lockett
Our WR group is on the upswing, having JSN as the nucleus is solid insurance towards that. No worries.

Agree 💯

Arroyo & Horton will do just fine mitigating the DK trade.

I'd rather pay Kupp $15 million/year than Davante Adams (who is a year older) $22 million/year.
Maybe for the Seahawks but I think DA is going to have a monster year for the Rams. Davante has not had the injury history of Kupp either. I think this DA signing is going to be the equivalent of the Saquon Barkley signing of last year. I just think of that offense with Nacua and Stafford delivering the ball is going to be big.

he will have an affect, but not the equivalent of a young dynamic player that completely transformed an entire offense and is a home run threat every time he touches the ball.

That is hard for WRs to do and he is not a dynamic player anymore.

Also, speaking of nacua. he was often injured in college and played less games than Kupp last year. that guy seems to get rocked a lot
