The thing is, the Hawks are not overly locked into Darnold. They can even move on from him at season's end without murderous financial consequences. The Hawks probably see SD as a two year thing until some better option comes along.

Darnold worries me, and I'm generally a fan of his. He's got talent, hell of an arm, can fit it into tight windows, and seems like a nice guy. I just don't see him handling pressure very well unless he has a pretty miraculous turnaround in that regard.

He's a great stopgap, Minnesota knows that first hand. I just don't think you can win a Super Bowl with him, and I think the staff knows that. They're going to try to break the game with Milroe's arm and athleticism at some point if he shows ability in practice and preseason action, or they're going to keep looking for the guy.

With all of that said, here's to hoping he puts together another good year for us. I'm certainly rooting for a great showing. I love a comeback kid.

I’m skeptical of Darnold as well. I predict we, the fans, will be calling for his benching by Week 9
Out of curiosity, what do you think rhe teams win% will be at that point? .500 at best? Teams live and die by the QB.

It doesn't matter who is QB of the Raiders, they aren't going anywhere this year anyway. (I wish Pete the best, but that's not a great roster in Las Vegas.) Sam Darnold would have been a terrible fit in Vegas with their O-line and lack of WRs. I mean Jakobi Myers is their top WR.

I'm very skeptical of Darnold. His meltdown was purely psychological last two weeks of the season because expectations caught up to him. That said he was still the best FA QB available so I'm cool with them signing him plus we got Milroe in the wings to keep the heat up. Hawks are setup for success.

I don’t see them being much better than 3-6. I’m excited to see the rookies and how they develop, but I don’t think the roster overall is really all that good or talented to this point.

The defense will be far ahead of the offense, but I still don’t believe the team has a solid pass rusher outside of Mafe, the corner position will be exposed, and this offense isn’t designed to come from behind.

I have hope for the future, it’s just not this season and definitely not with Darnold.

Darnold has a significant injury guarantee for 2026. If things aren't working out there's a strong chance the Seahawks would move on from him multiple games before the end of the season. I'm not saying that will happen...and nobody wants to see Lock at QB for multiple games.

I guess Tom Brady loves him some awful red zone production. Sam Darnold is a huge upgrade over Geno Smith where the red zone is concerned. If Darnold continues his red zone production from last season, the Seahawks should score more TDs which should help in winning more games.

doesn't like Darnold but signs Mr. mediocre himself. Oh, he's in a for a big disappointment. Gedieocre is on the downside of his career. he's not going to magically get better.

Tom Brady should leave QB evaluation to GM, coaches and scout. He was a great QB, that doesn't qualify him as a talent evaluator.

Just because you drive semi professionally for decades doesn't qualify you to design semis.

Valid reasons, not sure I can roll with the record prediction though. I think the defense will keep games tight, and things tend to fall in favor of Seattle in those scenarios. Especially with how weak the schedule is early on.

Offense is a massive question mark. Nobody knows what it will look like until week One of the regular season.

I fully understand where you are coming from, and I am fully on board wirh how bright the future appears to be. Hopefully you're dead wrong though, haha. Respect your opinion homie and the confidence in which you present it.

He ought to be wrong as our able GM and HC engineered the out of geNO and signing Darnold. Y'all should have more faith for our leadership.

Ah the 4th grade, I remember it well, was there for 6 years until both me and my dad got kicked out for having a spit-wad fight and accidentilee hit the teacher in the forehed.
