Did any of you bother to actually read the article before proclaiming it trash?

There's quite a bit in that article I'd bet many of you would agree with if you were being honestly objective.
It’s possible that there is something agreeable in the article but that’s not my point.

12thmanrising is notorious for posting click bait garbage, and it can’t be argued otherwise with any credibility.

Walker is the Seahawks's Jay Buhner, love the home runs, but not much after that. Yes, he is on the hot seat

I am not sure how Samuel can be on the hot seat when he hasn't sat down yet. No, he is not on the hot seat.

JS has shown up drunk to an interview and failed the offensive guard positions. Imagine having a complex job and saying "The paperwork isn't that important", thats what he has done with the Guards and so yes...he is on the hot seat
I wouldn’t say k9 is in the hot seat cause I think we have good running backs and we are so used to running backs getting hurt that we would be fools to not be prepared. So anything from K9 feels like a bonus right now. K9’s seat ain’t crucial enough to be a hot seat. Sam isn’t in a hot seat cause we’re only one foot in with him anyway. He is playing with house money.
And the other? In Emperor Schneider We Trust

1. I thought this thread was about that specific article, not 12thmanrising in general. 🤷‍♂️

2. I was not aware of their "click bait garbage" reputation, but even if I was...

3. I make a habit of judging an article by it's content, not solely by it's source.

Yeah, the Darnold cutting down on Geno's red zone turnovers comment in that article was just weird (but I think I understand what they meant), but I thought most of the article was very fair and reasonable, and like I said, I think there's plenty in there most here would agree with.

I agree pretty much with the whole thing except that their seats are hot

Even though I wouldn’t say k9 is on the hot seat, but he might not get another contract, so I guess that kinda is the hot seat, but even if he has a good year would they resign him?

I think they'd re-sign him if he has good year (like his rookie season) and it's a reasonably good deal for the team. I don't think they would if he has another lackluster season, like last year, and is once again battling nagging injuries a lot.

And I would recommend to anyone to do likewise.

I’ve simply been burned by stuff from them too many times, I won’t even give them my click anymore. I’m not willing to promote their work by reading to see if anything rings home. Click = revenue.

Just my personal opinion but I do feel strongly enough about it to share.

By all means, you do you.

Nailed it Chapow! A few thoughts after reading your thoughtful post:
  1. Responding to your points 1-3, I seldom, if ever, respond to posts critiquing toffee or toffee's intent. I do and enjoy responding to rebuttals on the content of my posts and my opinions.
  2. Darnold is in a much better position to succeed with the Hawks than Geno, the stars are lined up for him.
  3. K9's seat might indeed be warming up, if he can't produce, injury or whatnot, he will be out.
  4. Schneider? no problem at all. He's the one, hand-picked by Jody. Crowned President of Football Operations, a title Pete never enjoyed. When was the last time you saw Jody and Pete wore matching clothes?

  5. Darnold is teacher Schneider's pet, Schneider is teacher Jody's pet. NO, their seats are not hot. Good chemistry at the team's top positions is a good, a great thing. Foundation for dynasties.

This is a tough situation . Kind of a
R Penny 2.0 although K9 is the much better RB.

A great prospect coming out of NCAA. Great upside but always hurt.
The real fear is giving up on him and
he goes to another team and finally puts it all together.

I could see Walker having a good season because it is the contract year. Funny how that always seems to happen and not just RB but other positions as well.

Any player, including Darnold and K9, that is playing shitty at the halfway point is in the hot seat. That's what happens when you aren't a star. Schneider has a direction that looks like he knows what he's doing, for the 2nd time in his tenure. Hes as safe as they come. Not brain surgery here

if we played with "injuries off", Penny was the much more explosive back. And id go with Carson easily over both.
