JS did bring in a WR earlier, pick #50, TE/WR Elijah Arroyo. Also Horton was equivalent to a 2nd or 3rd rounder based on talent/potential.I don't disagree, I have way more concern over the offense than the defense but to say Kupp has not been the same the last few years doesn't acknowledge that he's had some injury issues. Had he been healthy his production numbers would likely have been better. You could also say that his being injury prone for the last 3 seasons is in itself cause for concern and I would agree (most of it seems to be ankle related).
What are we getting with this guy is a valid question.
Which is why I was hoping JS was going to target a WR earlier in the draft or in FA. There's still time to bring in a legitimate starter like Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper.
DK was a distraction that wanted a huge new contract, Lockett was running on fumes.
Kupp/MVS/Arroyo/Horton > DK/Lockett
Our WR group is on the upswing, having JSN as the nucleus is solid insurance towards that. No worries.
