Damn, nice add on runs bottom 8. Save Munoz with only 1/3 of an inning played.

Campbell gives up a double, but got a pop foul for the first out.

Then a fly ball to the No Fly Zone. :)

Late offense locked up the win. But...

France .188 BA for the month of July. Ms suddenly have 1st base problems. Ford isn't hitting for average either but at least he has power. France isn't really doing anything.

Nice play by JP to end it all. (y) (y) (y)

Campbell made it more interesting than it should have been. :)

*Murphy. He had glove turned wrong on breaking ball for strike 3 and game. Then Campbell got scary.

France has not been very good since the first half of last season.

Exactly. This isn't a 2023 thing. He was a damn good hitter, but he has been brutal for a good 11-12 months.

Time to move on from France, period.
C'mon Soulfish! France is going through a slump, but the last two years he has consistently been our best hitter. In 2021, he hit .291 with an OPS of .813. Yes, last year he had a bad month of August, but rallied in September. He's over the hill, he's only 28. It's not like he suddenly forgot how to play baseball. Whatever is going on is likely fixable.

Getting rid of him now would be our typical buy high, sell low MO. He's definitely having a down year, and he's got to figure it out quick and turn things around. For now, they should platoon him with Ford instead of keeping things as they are and hoping for a different result.

A slump? He has been bad for a year now. Nice guy, good on defense, but he is about as NON-Clutch as they come in 2023.
We can agree to disagree. He's hurting the team this year, not helping. And I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he leads the league in hitting into double plays. Rally killer imo.
