Theres NO offensive depth on this team, Winker or not doesnt matter. Without Geno and Julio, with Mitch and France hurt, this team is a .200 hitting team. There's no way the line up looks this same next season.

Mitch at least plays a good RF and outside of this latest stretch, has been a very good hitter.

Outside of that one month before the all star break, Wink has basically been a sub .200 hitter. Is probably the worst corner OF I’ve seen, and on top of that has no power. He has now managed to have a lower slugging than his on base. He’s basically a designated hitter who’s only positive quality is walking.

Like I said, plenty of blame to go around, but Wink deserves plenty. Obviously he is going to get some PT with the injuries, but once Julio is back, and assuming JK can contribute, there is no need for him.
He doesnt play a good RF. He is rated negative. He is rated as a OF who does not save runs but cost you runs. A great arm but a outfielder who loses track of the ball and his route is poor.

Is he winker bad? No. He is just below average as thankfully his arm saves him from being bad.

And winker is bad. I fully agree. This yr. His defense will always br horrible. If he hit like previous yrs itd of made him look like a slightly annoying player.

Mitch is supposed to be your superstar. Not winker. Not even Julio yet. Julio is supposed to be better then both next yr but is already.

Unlike most I get annoyed at my stars. Not my meh players. I dont want to ever see winker in the field.

You are right, he really shouldn’t even be playing with Moore healthy and JK called back up.

I don’t see how he helps the team. I understand he walks, but you can’t DH a guy who isn’t hitting. And after his blunder on Wednesdays game, I don’t think Servais will put him in the field again.

Haggery is regressing to his career norms. Which isnt good. Great bench player but that is it so far. Plus speed. Sub par bat. Solid d.

If you have Julio, JK, Mitch and Hags coming off the bench that’s a pretty good OF when all are healthy.

As for Winker’s arm I respectfully disagree, it’s weak, Johnny Damonesque.

I think we agree on a lot of the same.

Fully agreed Mitch has been tough to watch for the last month, and has been frustrating seeing him get injured as much as he does.

But in this inept offense, zero chance he gets benched. You play yours stars through their slumps.

I’m more irritated how SS continues to trot Wink out in LF and how much he plays. The guy should be a DH only, and even then, are you really going to DH a guy with a bat as bad as his?

I see you JK, if only it were September for him every month.

You know it’s not good when Torrens is your DH.

After the Cal-bomb the Mariners had the bases loaded and no outs and didn’t score my more. I predicted it, and my fortune telling skills suck.

The same 'ol cruel trick played on us yet again. Now you see it (what should be 2+ runs scored), now you don't!

Just have to laugh. Bases loaded for two consecutive innings (first time w/ zero outs and second time w/ one out), and zero runs to show for it. If this doesn't scream the need for another legitimate bat or two, nothing does.

Not a comfortable win by any means. Even Munoz was struggling a bit. With all the runners LOB, should've been 10+ runs scored. But whatever, just happy with the W.
