I was thinking about how cool it would be if we could actually see them play a few regular season games before we actually judge?
Carr is a good QB, better than average. Seahawks could do significantly worse at QB.Then we are screwed, I read on .NET that Carr is better than Geno. Oh wait, we have Howell, who may be better than Carr, he just needs coaching and opportunities
Respected enough that Saints are considering Kellen Moore and even Mike Kafka for their HC instead of their own Kubiak? Moore and Kafka have shorter resumes and less experience.Kubiak is going to be fine. I'm excited to see what he does and sometimes a fresh start allows you to fix some things too. He's very well respected for a reason.
You are on .NET, that statement isn't going to end wellOne of the reasons why, though, that Geno is closing in on that B+ zone--and Carr isn't--is because Carr doesn't lead an offense as efficiently in those types of come from behind situations, whereas Geno has been one of the best in the league.
there are cheaper, or younger options.Meh. This geNO subject is really getting old and stale. He'll be our QB next year. And hopefully it's the final year.
And yes, it's a very important subject, I get that part. Free agency and the draft is going to be VERY entertaining this year.
Careful. You are speaking wayyy too much logic .Carr is a good QB, better than average. Seahawks could do significantly worse at QB.
If I were to give out 'grades' in terms of what QBs bring to the table, both Geno and Carr would be 'B' grade guys right now, but Geno is at the cusp of B+, Carr is sitting firmly entrenched in the B zone.

So, to the degree that the Saints being unable to pull ahead in late game situations is based on the QB, the Seahawks would undeniably be in a better spot with Geno than New Orleans was with Carr. That said, if the primary reason they struggle to come from behind is because Kubiak's scheme... well, then that's a different problem.
Not sure where you came up with that. I've been a Geno supporter and Kubiak is the guy I wanted. I would think most would want this since Geno's best numbers are while running play actionWhich is why I find it odd our biggest Geno supporters seem to be the ones that aren't thrilled about Kubiak. He is bringing everything they complained Grubb didn't use. I don't get it. Well I do have a theory but that's for another time.
Grubb made the oline much worse with his play calling and there's several articles that go over all the details. It boils down to predictability based on personnel and formations. Can't expect an Oline to have success in the run game when you tip your hat almost every play and defenses don't have to think.I definitely like the addition of Kubiak but what's more important is personnel and fixing the 2 guard and center position. Grubb was not great but it's really hard to coach around a dumpster fire at OL. Grubb definitely should have called passing plays that didn't take so long to develop but it is absolutely impossible to scheme a running game when the OL was as bad as it was. He tried calling run plays but it always resulted in 0 or negative yards. He also didn't call play action very much but that is contigent on how effective your running game is.
Schneider is gonna have to draft OL and get OL in FA because the last 15 years of neglect and bad picks has been terrible but I honestly wonder how much influence Pete had on this because building everything from athletic positions(CB/S/RB/WR) first was a horrible, horrible way of building, up front matters most.
Who knows what the Saints ownership is thinking? I don't think we should evaluate Kubiak based on what the Saints are doing. I think that usually when teams decide to blow things up, they want a fresh start.Respected enough that Saints are considering Kellen Moore and even Mike Kafka for their HC instead of their own Kubiak? There's a clear leader to be the Saints' next head coach, multiple reports say
Things appear to be coming into focus as the Saints look to hire a new head coach.www.nola.com
You're one person. Many of the others don't view it that way. And I agree, Kubiak seems to bring a lot of the stuff that would benefit Geno and the stuff people have been begging Grubb to utilize. Not sure where you came up with that. I've been a Geno supporter and Kubiak is the guy I wanted. I would think most would want this since Geno's best numbers are while running play action
OC and Coaching are two massively different jobs/skillsets. I couldn't care less if he's viewed as a terrible head coaching candidate.Who knows what the Saints ownership is thinking? Moore, Kafka and Kubiak are similar in age and experience. I disagree that Moore and Kafka have less experience. Kellen Moore has been an OC for 6 consecutive years, including for the Super Bowl-bound Eagles. Kafka has been the OC for the last three years. Kubiak has only 2 years as an offensive coordinator.
Probably won’t happen if traded Carr has a $40 million cap hit for the Saints in 2025open to trading for Carr as our bridge?
good point.Probably won’t happen if traded Carr has a $40 million cap hit for the Saints in 2025
I'm pointing out that your statement's definiltives are pure silliness. You’re certainly not comparing Mike Macdonald to the peeps on this forum I hope![]()
