Worst Play Call of The Day

Good points and frustrating indeed. Along with not getting other WR's involved, what happen to the TE this week?
I was looking for Willson to grow this season but so far not much.

Where is Wilson and his quick drop and throws? Why all the gimicks if we have as much faith in Wilson as they claim. Agreed that Jet sweep at that time was a poor call. It just felt like we outsmarted ourselves on that call.

My worst call of the day goes to punting on 4th and 2, putting the Defense back on the field after just sucking wind all day long.

They got too enamored of their new toys. They need to remember what got them there.

Great Post with lots of valid points. The 4th and 2 call to punt was a big fail to me! All these weapons, and they don't have the confidence in dialing up a single play to gain 3 yards.

I didn't mind the bubble to Walters, if they catch the Defender looking the wrong direction there Walters could have had a big gain, it was well played.

Frustrating loss, but looking forward to seeing how our boys respond against a good Donks team.

It wasn't a terrible play call, it was executed terribly. Baldwin got blown the frig up.

On a similar note though, the fly sweep will continue to be dominant if we execute, but I do believe we need to mix in a few more play actions off of the fly sweep. Hit Baldwin or flanker on a quick skinny post. WRs will be looking to blow up the edge run, and left in the dust.

IIRC, it was 1st down close to our own 12 yard line....quite possibly the worst down, distance, situation, game-moment for a jet sweep. Agree with you, the play has many useful variants that we can capitalize on. However, I agree with OP, terrible playcall in that situation and really pissed me off actually.

We analyze wins through the week. It's a bit hypocritical to request avoiding doing the same after a loss, no?

4th and 2 was a dagger for me.. Normally i think our defense can stop but you have to deal with reality.. We were not stopping them. That drive felt good. We could have punched it in and took the lead. THEN let the defense decide the game...
