The Packers should drop a bombshell by releasing him. If they do that, they are looking out for their best interest, not Aaron Rodgers’ best interest. Even if it sacrifices their playoff chances and also pisses off Davonte Adams and Randall Cobb.

The protocols are a league rule, not a team rule. Last season, the league, not the teams, fined Pete Carroll, Jon Gruden, and others for not following their protocols and wearing a mask at all times while on the sidelines. Rodgers knowingly flaunted the league's protocols and was intentionally deceitful when discussing his status. IMO the league must step in and issue some sort of discipline not only to the Packers, but to Rodgers himself.
Besides, if the Packers aren't going to do their job and discipline players for violation of league rules, the league must step in and do it for them. There's been other instances of the league stepping in and discipling a player or coach that a team failed to address on their own. They just got through telling Mark Davis and the Raiders that if they didn't do something about Jon Gruden, they would.

The league already came out and said Rodgers didn't violate any rules.

Which makes no sense because the rules clearly state that an "active" player that's unvaccinated should be wearing a mask at all times on the sidelines or indoors while at the team facility.
So while yes other players have been fined, it was like $10,000. So people crying for suspensions and crazy fines are kidding themselves..........especially for the golden boy of the league.

From the headline of your article:
NFL claims Aaron Rodgers didn’t violate COVID protocol during preseason games
Rodgers violated the league's protocol by not wearing a mask while indoors during press conferences.
The vaccine vs natural immunity argument is meaningless. My daughter got covid last November. She got sick but took about 6 weeks to get back to normal. She then got vaccinated and finished her second shot in February, In June she got covid again with almost no symptoms. In other words neither is 100% but the benefits of both are additive.cymatica":2njk17ut said:hawker84":2njk17ut said:Unfortunate. I was looking forward to seeing how this team stacked up against a real playoff contender.
On another note, of course Roger's is out for covid. Why would anyone think he'd do what's best for his teammates and fanbase and get vaccinated. Once a douchebag, always a douchebag.
Since the vaccine does not prevent anyone from spreading it, and natural immunity works much better than a vaccine that dramatically loses efficacy after a few months, the only douchebags are those that insist someone takes a medical product so they can watch their precious sports games.
RiverDog":12djbfv4 said:Sgt. Largent":12djbfv4 said:Rodgers? Idk how he's going to be held responsible. He told the Packers what he did (crazy homeopathic covid treatments), so not sure how he's going to face any discipline.........other than being a douche flaunting his rule breaking.
If he didn't outright lie in his press conference, he was damn sure intentionally deceitful, not being at all sincere with the press and with the fans. The NFL treats those press conferences like they're some sort of religious experience. They fined Beast just for not showing up to them, insisted that women reporters be allowed in locker rooms to attend them, and so on. I would think that lying in them like that would draw at least a very stiff fine if not a suspension. Plus he was flaunting the league's protocols when he was specifically told that his exemption was denied by not wearing a mask at the pressers.
Sgt. Largent":i412m179 said:Florio posted the article to show the hypocrisy of what's going on now, because the protocols were the same in the pre-season as they are now in the regular season, and the league didn't do anything to Rodgers or the Packers in the pre-season.
But now the spotlight is much brighter on the league to do something. They have to fine Rodgers and hand down a hefty fine to the Packers for allowing him to do whatever he wanted in violation.
That's how the NFL operates. They read the room, and if no one cares they do nothing.......and if they think it's a big deal that will damage their precious brand? That's when they act.

What a lying POS. I would be pissed off if I was his teammate.

How is he standing up for his rights? He tried to get people to think he did get the vaccine. Obviously he doesn't care about being a voice for his cause; he's basically the Kyrie Irving of football.

Because it's nobody's business. I've lied and said I was vaxxed too... do I care? Nope. Whatever you wanna hear NFL... which is obviously what he did.
When I got back last week my neighbor walked out of his door with his mask on... asked me if I was vaxxed... I said yes... he said "great, I feel safer" and then got in his car and drove away with his mask on. ALONE IN THE CAR.
It's really a special kind of stupid we are dealing with here. These same people are the ones vaxxing their kids even though the death rate for someone under 18 is microscopically low.
If the vaccine actually 100% prevented it I might think differently... but it doesn't.
