He had one decent quarter when the Hawks were playing prevent. A decent quarter that had TWO picks.
They had like 70 yards at the half. In no world did Drake Maye have a good game. He got owned. He saw all the ghosts. Each of them. Coach Side Piece had to ask him if he wanted to stay in the game. Yeah, he was THAT dominated.
The consensus by basically every mediot and former player was that it was one of the most dominant performances by a defense in SB History. PERIOD.
If Sam doesn't rush a couple throws, they win by 30+, easily. He has even said so himself that he wasn't happy with how he played, other than no turnovers. Pats were extremely lucky he missed a couple to Sheed and another to JSN that was a walk in.
Not trying to argue, but how in the hell could anyone come out of that SB not knowing that the Hawks absolutely took them to the shed?
And Drake Maye isn't just some scrub. He just ran into the best defense in football. His TD against......REEK was a hell of a throw.
