I think we have a contender on our hands...

I wanna believe but it's hard to get too excited when the last 4 wins came against a very much down Niners team, a weak Jets team and a Cardinals team that seems good but has lost to a lot of the better teams in the league. The Hawks still haven't beaten a top team yet.

It's almost like what happened at the beginning of the season when the Hawks went 3-0 and then hit a tougher part of their schedule in Detroit. A lot of us thought they were headed for a playoff run. That's about to happen again with the next 3 of 4 games going against some really good teams. I know things are trending well for the Hawks and they have some good momentum. I hope that translates into victories over the next 2 Sundays.

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but if the Hawks can beat the Packers then I'll be at that level of optimism with you. Right now I'm pumping the brakes on getting too high with confidence until we see that first signature win. This Sunday could be it.

I would disagree that there is any similarity. When we had our winning pause at the beginning of the season our defense was missing major players, otherwise I think we win some of those games.

Apples and oranges

Do not understand the hard to get excited. How could it be any more exciting. Win out and we are in, and we ARE good enough to do that. With rookie coaches, WOW!

I agree the team is in a different place and the circumstances aren't exactly the same but the 3 wins came against teams that they really should've beaten and we all got really optimistic and then reality set in when the level of competition increased. The team is improved and the last 4 games were against teams they should've beaten but the competition level of the next few weeks is the part that feels similar.

I'm excited as can be but it's my optimism that I'm keeping in check. It's not sky high yet. If the Hawks prevail then my optimism goes up a lot because it will be their first quality win but the excitement is always there every game.

You and me both. My better half jumps on my case all the time... 'seahawks again!?!?. What, are you getting paid to write??'
You write well, if I were you, I would audition to write for some Seahawks media. Time permits of course.

When I look around the NFC, i don't see another team that is ramping up the way we are, that has the talent across the board that we do AND has the element of surprise in that our schemes on O and D are just now starting to come into a real groove.
Rams?

I see it differently. I think that losing streak needed to happen, otherwise they probably wouldn't have felt the need to swap out the linebackers. We are what we are now because of those losses.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
I'm right there with you! I don't see a scenario where any one of our remaining opponents light our newly formed defense up. On the other end, if our offense (still a pretty huge 'IF') can continue to play mistake free, situationally sound, aggressive football that takes what our opponents give them, then I really do foresee us making a run that shocks the shit outta the league! Let's effing GOOOOOOOO!!!

I need to see them beat 2/3 of the remaining NFC North teams.

John Schneider's move to let Pete walk was the right one.
Love most of what you said, but Pete was pushed out. He was done and John was smart enough to “unhitch the wagon”.

This team is headed in the right direction for sure. Let’s hope another Bowl is in the making!
