And if we had drafted Brett Favre instead of Dan Mcgwuire in 1991, there is no Holmgren, Pete Carrol, Russell Wilson or LOB.

But that, and your statment, has zero to do with, even after everything that happened, the game coming down to one play and us failing. The reason football is 60 minutes and not one play by each side for all the marbles is because its a competition. Move, counter move, successes, failures and overcoming failures to see who can make enough right moves and score more points by double 00 on the clock.

We overcame everything else that happened and then gave the game away. We should have overcome Butler and Browner, we called a play that shoukd have worked.

But we threw the ball to the wrong spot.

History.
Got it so it’s 109% Wilson’s fault lol. You guys are wild.

The 12 jury was out on this but after lengthy deliberations, came back with a guilty verdict. I think the proponderance of evidence hinged on RW's mint green tux and the Dangerwich..., damning evidence.

Has anyone watched the new Mike Rob Lynch podcast with Tom Cable? They specifically asked him who called the play. They both were told Pete blamed Bevell and Bevell blamed Pete. Cable didn’t comment other than they should have ran the ball and they got too cute. If they didn’t get the TD on that play, they could have in the next play, drawn up something else. He was more upset from leaving what got them there, running the ball.

You understand Brian Walters flat said it was a bad throw. On the body, low and not inside.. TD.

So, you can deconstruct everything that happened on the play and during the game and blame the whole deal on plays that occurred quarters before this one. Fact is, Lockette wasn't so egregiously bad on the route. You could argue he did nothing bad at all as the design of the play calls for the catch to be made behind the screen, not on the other side of it, in the middle of the backfield. Having to make that catch on the other side of the pick where Russ threw it puts the ball at risk of being intercepted by the MLB and any other defender playing the shallow middle of the field.

You could even argue that given Butler's depth on the throw, the QB could have seen the risk of success was reduced, or at the least it should have been a clue that he should see how clean Butler's break was before releasing the ball. But even with that (or because of it), low and on the body... TD.
