It's supposedly a D line dude.

Clem then. If he's good to go I wouldn't be surprised if he were upset at losing his snaps to Avril, even if it were just until the FO was more comfortable with his health.

If it's truly a D lineme (as Softy said), who the heck knows.

Mebane would make the most sense...can't imagine it's Big Red as good as he has looked, not to mention he is very unique and important for our defense.

The only one that could realistically push Mebane aside is Williams.

But according to .net, Williams might not even make the team.

Hah...maybe "some" on .Net, but not this dude.

Just listening to the coaches, you can hear how high they are on him.

Tony Mcdaniel, or are we not considering him a paid vet?

I know...that's why that thread surprised me. I've heard he's been a "Monstar"

I figure McDaniel is just trying to make the team, but I guess he could be worried about losing a roster spot.

I interpreted this to mean someone that had an established role/job on our D-Line already, but I could have interpreted incorrectly.

After thinking about it, Big Red makes the most sense considering the "Paid" remark.

Mebane making $5mil this year, Big Red $6.6mill plus he's signed through 2016.

I can't see it being Mebane, Red OR Clem. McDonald is the only other guy on the D-Line that had a sizeable role last year

A little background on how Davis Hsu posts might help a little. When he says "paid vet", he doesn't just mean a vet that is paid. He means "PAID" as in making a lot of money (urban usage). Who's making a ton of money on the line? Red? mebane? Clemons?

Yeah I just saw where he's making under a million this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some starts this year, but he's probably not the guy.

I could see Jaye Howard, clinton McDonald or Tony McDanield being on the bubble. Big Red is not going anywhere this year with his contract.

Whoever said Mebane, go wash your mouth nao!

it could just be someone needs to restructure or risk getting cut for someone cheaper who does the job?

What is fatdumbass Softy's rationale for Mebane theory?

He has some 'splainin' to do.

It was Ian Rapaport and Farrar that thinks it is Mebane.
