Really? Really?

This is straight up soap opera bullshit about NOTHING, all from the same guy who said based on team sources retaining Matt Flynn was a priority, and, this is best of all, that in August of last year it was not too soon to start thinking about Andrew Luck as a Hall of Famer.

Yeah, but it's fun to speculate.

I just take from it that we have a lot of good talent that flashes regularly on our D-Line, enough that a rumor like this could even get started.

You might as well try to stop the Columbia River with your hands if you're on a crusade to stop rampant speculation on this board.

This attitude, if true, concerns me. It's totally opposite the "Compete" mantra. If you have to worry or talk to the coaches about keeping your job then you're not busting your tail to keep your job (which is what you should be doing unless you're hurt and can't play). If you're hurt, then you're not helping the team anyway. This just reeks of entitlement and arrogance to me.

Yea, I'm not into the drama of it, but if a starter is that seriously worried about his starting job, that means we've increased the depth at the position and the young guy behind him is really coming on strong. Like I said in my previous post, it's interesting.

I can't blame him for the attitude man. Imagine the stress of having no job security due to the comPETE mantra.

All you idiots that follow Twitter are the biggest twits of all. And you even believe it, take a moment to realize your level of toolishness.

Asking if his job was in danger leads you to all that?

'IN NO ROSTER TROUBLE', Was the direct quote from Rapoport. No one is getting cut, if you want to speculate who it could have been, that's fine. But to take a report from a guy like Rapoport and speculate that someone is going to get cut is a waste of time.

Who knows what the truth is but one guy who should be concerned is Clemons. He has been a huge part of this team and I would hate to see his career over with us but age and this injury could be the the beginning of the end.We drafted a pass rusher and we signed one of the best pass rushers in FA so I wouldnt blame him if he has some insecurities.
His contract is spendy if he doesnt return to his former self so they could cut ties and use the money for future contracts.
It would make more sense than assuming one of the younger tackles are pressuring Mebane or Red

Those of us "senior members" have little faith in "Twitter leaks". Perhaps we now have reporters hiding out in the bathroom stalls?

Vet doesn't equal starter... so think this is a pretty empty rumor of any significance
Non-starter equals non-paid.

i see. I wasnt aware only 22 of 52 were paid players, thanks for clarifying that for me. Why is our cap so high

I don't mean "paid" in the literal sense. The way Davis Hsu uses "paid" is in the urban/Ebonics form meaning "makes a lot of money". Read through the thread and we wouldn't have this confusion.

Did it occur to anyone that the player in question might have been complimenting the new guys?
As in, "Dayum! Those new dudes are good. Maybe I should start worrying about my job! Heh, heh."
Just a thought, Dontknow
