He looked putrid out there. I think your coach will slowly distance himself from Lance and basically wash his hands of his own stupid mistake. Lance was never an NFL caliber quarterback but neither was Tim Couch and Jamarcus Russell. The Covid year screwed that particular draft. Funny thing is 49er fans still think he’s the next Michael Vick lmaoHe has 2 really bad decisions that were nearly picked off. He had a few plays where he really should have pulled the trigger and for some reason held the ball. He also threw 2 or 3 passes that were impressive (one where he dropped the ball in behind the linebacker....but that's not enough.
He doesn't cannon the ball on every throw anymore. He's actually shortened his release and the ball comes out much faster...as long as he pulls the trigger.
If he can start making faster decisions and letting it rip, he'll look much better. Problem is that I said the same thing about Alex Smith and it took him almost 10 years to develop and even then he was too risk averse.
Remains to be seen with Trey. He didn't play well on Sunday, but national media reaction is just WAY, WAY over the top.

Drew Lock has more talent in his pinky than Lance has in his whole body
