Should Seahawks use Rashid more as a #2 WR?

In my opinion Kupp has lost a step and I think the Hawks would be stronger than they are by using Shaheed as the #2 receiver
along side Njigba in the Super Bowl. Rashid can wreck a game, change a game in seconds, and is more explosive and faster than Kupp. He needs to
have the ball in his hands, or at least have the Patriots Def respect him, which leaves lanes open for Kupp underneath or for Njigba on the
crossing routes. He takes the top off the back end which will open up the running lanes for Kenny Walker, and everything else that goes with a Super Bowl win. What do you guys think?

I think that Kupp has difficulty hanging on to the ball and I haven't seen enough of Horton to know if he is any different. It seems to me that Shaheed has taken some big shots on his returns and still hangs onto the ball. I like Barner because he can block out like a rebounder and there is evidence from his barnyard play that he hangs onto the ball as well. BOBO seems sure handed and big enough to be a viable red zone target.

I just think that Kupp tends to fumble a lot.

Of course you haven't because he's been out for the season since we acquired Shaheed at the deadline. lol

When the Patriots deploy zone, a receiver doesn't have to be fast. He just needs to be able to find the soft spots in the coverage, and nobody's better at that than Kupp.
BINGO.

We don't need big-time downfield throws in this game (though if they're available, Sam should take them).

We need to stay ahead of the sticks and play some good ol' fashioned ball-control.

And @Mick063

Horton was actually ******* incredible in college. Caught the ball is very smooth when he caught literally Jerry rice like, all natural. We’re lucky to have him he only fell in the draft because of his injury otherwise he was projected a 1st round pick.

No sorry this is definitely not a good idea.

Shaheed is a deep threat home run ball option.
Kupp has far better hands, much better route runner and particularly effective in zone finding soft spots.

Also to the poster claiming he has a fumbling problem, based on what? His one fumble v LA in week 16?

Based on what exactly? Is it the one fumble in eleven career post season games? Or is it the six fumbles in the past eighty-seven regular season games? One of his "fumbles" in the 2022 season was the last play of the game where he was trying to lateral during the Rams attempt to pitch the ball back and forth in the last seconds trying to win the game against the Bucs. So, pretty much boils down to five fumbles in more than five seasons worth of games. Interestingly enough his one game with multiple "fumbles" was against Chicago in 2019. If you watch the first play where he is credited with a fumble, the DB is starting to strip the ball, but Kupp steps out before the ball comes out. Not sure why they determined that he fumbled before the foot was out, but watching the replay, doesn't seem to line up with what the record shows. But, yeah I can definitely see why someone would think he has a fumble problem.

Exactly.

We have counters for whatever defense they want to run against us, no need to change a thing.

I don't think Saheed and Sam have a tight connection yet. Next year after training camp.

Agreed. JSN (please extend), Shaheed (please resign), and Horton (please get healthy) is a nightmarish trio after a full offseason with Darnold. Throw in Barner and Arroyo for good measure.

Kupp was a key factor (one of many) of why we beat the Rams last week. He's not the player he was 5 years ago, but he delivered when it mattered most. He brings intangibles that are important here.

Also, Kupp is a team leader and former Super Bowl MVP. We need that experience out on the field with the young offense.
Yep. Playoff Kupp is different. He has been there done that and is clutch.
It's like he was SB MVP or anything. Oh wait.........he was.

Not sure what the OP is complaining about. Both Shaheed and Kupp play important roles in the offense.

In the playoffs this year, Kupp has been clutch, with 9 catches for 96 yards. He's a reliable possession receiver, even if he's lost a step.
