Since there was a mistake on the lateral that was awarded as a forward pass that gave him the record should he still have the record?
If that play is a lateral Manning didn’t break Drew Brees’ single-season passing yardage record. He would have 5,470 yards, not 5,477, and Brees would still have the mark with the 5,476 yards he threw for in 2011.
I think that they should not change how the yardage is recorded just to give Manning the record. Now we all know that he could of come out in the 2nd half and got it , but he didn't.
