Amazing how easy it is to score runs when guys you acquire to hit the baseball, actually do it in a game. Frazier with the triple was huge, instead of his custom inning killing automatic easy out.

Never a doubt guys!

Did you see Julio coming off the field after the top of the 9th? Had that little smile on his face like he knew what was coming. :)

Helluva game! More playoff baseball to win the series against the World Series champs. Unbelievable. Bottom 9? We're fine.

If there is one tiny negative it’s that Marco didn’t get the W after pitching one of his best games of the year against THAT offense. Dude came up huge today, and shut up me for a bit. :)

New words I learned today on Twitter, Divish or someone in his Twitter thread called Julio’s blast a “piss missile”. A 117mph piss missile.

Took their best punch and countered with a 1, 2 of our own to win it. This was a big win for the team. A confidence builder for sure.

Yea Marco deserved that win, and Seawald didn’t.

I’m going to go ahead and guess if we listed every #5 starter in baseball, Marco would be one of the better ones. He has a sub 4 ERA. Also think we are spoiled watching all these great pitchers and the drop off from them to Marco is big.

Win/Loss records for pitchers in baseball is one of the most useless stats in all of sports.
Exhibit A, todays Mariners game. And it's not like this is an outlier. This is incredibly common in baseball.

Just ask Felix.

Indeed. A couple of our starters this year have numerous quality starts that are marked as losses because the O couldn't push 4 runs across the plate.

He is ranked 39th in baseball for ERA.

Not bad. 30 teams x 5 starters is 150 pitchers, give or take. Puts him in top 3rd of the league. (y)
Yep, i think he gets talked about moreso because he throws 90mph and when he misses location its really bad news.

You can miss sometimes with 95mph. You can not miss with 90.

True. Reminds me a lot of Jaime Moyer. As a changeup in our rotation, I like him. Was just a few years ago he was our Day 1 starting pitcher. Now he's #4/5 at best. Looking at our farm system, he could be pushed out pretty soon, though I think having a changeup kind of guy like him still has a place.
