I thought he did very well last night. That catch and hop out of bounds was very smart. I belive he was also the one who helped knock the squibb kick out of bounds? he seems like he's just making very smart plays this year.

The presence of mind to get up and out of bounds so quickly was impressive.

Actually Willson or Davis knocked it out of bounds. A very heads up play by him.

The play on the onsides kick was not Kearse but TE #87 Kellen Davis (the guy who caught the 3rd TD)

I think he was referring to the catch where he was on the ground, wasn't touched and got up to dive out of bounds to stop the clock.

Both Kearse and Davis were present on the sidelines, and both punched the ball out of bounds.

You may be right McGruff - I only watched the replay once, but it looked to me that Davis was the one who dove and got both hands on the ball to shove it out of bounds. Whoever was involved, it was an awesome heads-up play.

You know what was not impressive, taking the ball out of the end zone and getting taken down at the 10. Later that drive, Wilson fumbled, and the AZ scored a TD keeping their hopes alive.

But anyway overall Chop Chop has looked real good, it's a shame he may be the one who has to see less time when Harvin gets in.

My mind must have blocked out that part. Other than that he did quite well.

I couldn't tell for sure who was there on the squibb kick, all I noticed was it looked awfully close to AZ getting to the ball and it was knocked out of bounds.

I've also seen him take the ball deep out of the end zone and return it to the 40 as well. That was just terrific coverage by Arizona.

Kellen Davis had a pretty solid game. I have decided that I no longer want to hit him with my car. :)

He's been doing well for awhile now. His blocking is very nice and unexpected. His play is headier than I was led to believe or expect. I hope he continues to improve because physically he's a beast.

The thing I like about Kearse is that he's getting plenty of playing time this year behind the "big three" (soon to be four when Harvin comes back). So next year when some decisions about Rice (8.5 mill), Tate (FA) and Baldwin (RFA) need to be made, Kearse will be more than ready to take up the roll of one of those guys (lets face it, all three aren't going to be here next year unless they take less money). Either way, Kearse is developing nicely this season and he is signed through next year and a RFA the year after.

I was very impressed with how he got out of bounds on that play. He couldn't have done it any better.

What I like, is that Kearse keeps answering the call. Give him opportunity and he takes it and produces. Amazingly, his hands are about the best on the team which we never would have guessed having watched him at UW.

He is clearly developing well in the NFL. I think most fans would like to see him featured more to see if he can keep elevating his game to match.

When I saw the replay of the squib/onside kick I got the impression that Davis was actually trying to catch the ball and Kearse was the one who knocked it out. I can't be sure because I only saw it one time.

So we can put it to rest, I just rewatched the play on Game Rewind. Kellen Davis gets two hands on the ball and shoves it out along with Kearse getting one hand on the ball with the obvious same intention of pushing it out. Great heads up on both their parts.

I am more than happy getting rid of Rice. Yes, despite his TD last night and his nice scoop to convert a third down, I'm just not seeing 8.5million reasons to keep him around. Between his health and lack of ability to gain separation deep, it's just been a bit of a disappointment. Wish him the best of luck, but when it comes down to bang for your buck, I'd rather have Kearse, Baldwin and Tate (of our current starters).

Sure, the catch and roll by Kearse were great, but how about the fact that we actually completed a back-shoulder fade! And it looked easy! Russell didn't have to run four circles around the linemen or anything!
