I just wish he wouldn't have a mental meltdown every time we play the whiners , seems like there's someone or something in his head that just goes pop , other than that he has been and can be clutch . If he can finally get over the hump he'd be a better qb than most anybody else we could get for the next few years

Burrow
Allen
Mahomes
Lamar
Lawrence
Herbert
Stroud
These are QBs I’d trade geno for

Purdy
Prescott
Stafford
Anthony richardson
Baker mayfield
These are QBs I might trade geno for

So that means imo geno is not top ten
None of Lawrence, Herbert, Stroud, Mahomes(!) or any of the "might" guys except Mayfield are playing at Geno's level. You're thinking of each of them from their best years, and that's a different year for each.

Mayfield is at 18 touchdowns, so I'm not sure how he ends up in your "might" category. I might have traded Geno for him if he didn't just lose both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin (RIP my fantasy team). We're gonna see what he really is now.

Also, where are Jordan Love, Jayden Daniels, and Jared Goff? All three are playing at Geno's level but with better stats.

Geno's 6th in comp % amongst starting QB's. His biggest ding besides the red zone is his YPA, which is way down at 19th or so amongst starting QB's with 7.1. But that's kind of a factor of the offense, plus Geno taking what he can get rather than forcing throws.

Daniels is too frail and Goff I still don’t believe in and Jordan love? Nah I’d still take geno

Lawrence has not had his best year yet or Herbert for that matter

Why Richardson? He might be the worst starting QB in the league.

I don't disagree that Geno is doing well, but instead of a tiresome, pointless slog of debate, how about making it a "Geno for MVP QB Weekly Power Ranking"? thread and sharing a few widely shared rankings? This one has Geno at #10.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr I'm not advocating for THIS specific measure, just that it was easy to find. What other half-decent weekly QB power rankings are out there?

I personally view Geno as in the #8-15 range, but if the Hawks line and defense improve, and Hawks go on a winning streak with Geno playing well... Wow that's a lot of IFs. Absent that, I don't see any MVP buzz forming around Geno.
Stated in another thread.

No matter how hard Geno is balling - Hell will freeze over before he gets MVP. Don't hold your breath.

Pretty much agreed. It would take a 1999-Kurt-Warner-esque string of performances for Geno to even enter the conversation.
And a Seahawks 14-3 type of record, and a Super Bowl appearance, and...
OK, so that was Rich Gannon's 2002 MVP Season age 37. Age 37? OK, Geno's got time, he's only 34.

Besides, some people consider Texas to be "Hell". Texas froze over Feb. 11-20, 2021. Geno already missed his (first?) window of opportunity.
