Ozzy,

Does the likelihood of making mistakes go up the worse your protection is? Does scoring go down when you have no run game?
Do you think terrible coordination on offense can negatively impacting every offensive statictical category?

The answer to all of those questions is yes. Ask Goff. He has arguably the top coordinator in the league an when the pressure got in his head... 4 turnovers when he needed to be clutch.

Geno in the redzone- before Grubb was 33 TD to 2INt.

Geno in the most critical moments set the league record for comebacks and finished with the 2nd best mark this year

Did he toss some bad picks? Yes. Absolutely.

Was the offense he was running prone to being beaten and shown to be ineffective? Yes.

I honestly don't get why its so difficult to look at the complete picture of how bad things have been on offense here over three years , qb aside, and say ' ok. Yeah... lets just get the qb some reasonable support for once and see what we can do.' Because we havent had anywhere close to that.

"Inference" isn't trendy on .net, you ought to know that by now? You were also trying to to nail down the roots of our problems with logical deductions, but deductions? Untrendy here. Don't believe me? Just read all the post by toffee, he personified shallowness and lacking in deep thoughts.

I salute your effort, uphill battle though.

Seattle o line 2024 - 27th
Washington o line rankings 2024 - top 10

Seattle run game rank 2024 - 29th
Washingtin run game rank 2024 - 3rd

Seattle OC - no longer employed
Washington OC - cliff kingsbury undeniably killing it all year.

Its not so 'funny' when you actually look at it...

Just a couple of personnel changes on the line and a coaching change shouldn't net such an improvement. Let's just be honest about it. It's the QB. They went from 4 wins a year ago to the NFCCG this season. Biggest change and factor for them,,,,Jayden Daniels. They wouldn't be in the same position with Howell.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

What are we asking Goff for? He still had all of the things he needed and had a mental breakdown (as Geno does at times). The most important thing you said was "got in his head".

For me, 2022 is the outlier year for Geno. If he can reach that again it would be great. He threw for 30 tds that season. So far it’s been the outlier relative to that specific statistic.
That's where I'm at and when you break down that year even further the first half of it he was a monster. The second half he was still pretty good but really the first half of 2022 is a massive outlier from the rest of his 14 year career. Even last year he didn't throw many touchdowns either.

I watched Daniels Saturday and he reminded me of Russ in his first year. Shifty, fast, accurate, turning nothing into something, losses into first downs, and red zone opportunities into td's without turnovers. That's what we need. Again.

Yeah he's so good. He does play a similar style to early Russ.

The Seahawks CANNOT succeed without Russell Wilson. he guarantees a winning season every year! We are just a couple players away. Don’t change anything or we will go 2-14.

The Seahawks CANNOT succeed without Pete Carroll. he guarantees a winning season every year! We are just a couple players away. Don’t change anything or we will go 2-14.

I'm confused here. If we run him back he is a $44 million cap hit right? So him being under contract is him at $44 million cap hit. So not really affordable.

It is bullshit, because you made it up yourself. No one says that.

Geno Lovers' Rationale the last couple of years...

2022 - Geno is just a bridge QB
2023 - Geno is just a bridge QB
2024 - Geno is just a bridge QB
2025 - <---We are here.

Seahawks have drafted seven O-Lineman in that span and picked up five more through free agency.

Now, here we are once again talking about needing more O-Lineman.

He's 35 years old for God's sake. It's time to find a QBOTF.

We're still talking about needing OLine because our OLine still sucks.

Or do you think continuing to having one of the worst OLines in the league is perfectly fine?

Look, I'd love to see them take a shot at a potential QBOTF in the draft. But if you throw a Will Howard, Jaxson Dart, Dillon Gabriel, etc. type prospect behind a terrible OLine, you're setting that guy up to fail. I don't know if David Carr ever could've been a good QB in the NFL or not, but I do know that he never had a chance behind that dumpster fire of a line. I don't want to see the Seahawks do that to some young guy.

The OLine needs to be "fixed" regardless of who the QB is.

Yup, nobody is denying that the O Line has been an issue for YEARS. But stats only get you so far. Geno isn't getting it done. I don't see him magically getting better and becoming clutch. Hope to be very wrong.

You may have noticed that I didn't mention Geno in my post. You know why? Because I wasn't commenting on Geno. I was commenting on the OLine.

As I said, the OLine needs to be fixed regardless of who the QB is.

You might be fine with continuing to roll with one of the worst offensive lines in the league, but we're almost certainly not going anywhere if we continue to have a bottom 5 OLine year after year, regardless of who the QB is.
