Even if DQ comes to our division, wouldn't really worry too much. Good hire by them, but I don't know. The Hawks' D is mostly Pete Carroll's system, he's had a top 10 defense on every NFL team he coached on, even when he was just a coordinator.

Keep in mind, Dan Quinn is almost the only coach of any kind that Pete Carroll kept when he took over the Seahawks in 2010. He was our D-line coach in 2009 and 2010, then went on to be defensive coordinator at Florida for 2011 & 2012, then our DC for 2013 & 2014.

I smell a strong Falcons team next year. We'll see.

I think that smell is the remaining stench of this past season.

I wasn't aware it was illegal, just something that is rarely done because teams want to have their coaching staff selected by now and not wait through the Super Bowl. And it's a widely known interest. They may have guys on board verbally assuming Quinn takes the job, which could all be engineered without Quinn's say. I'm not a fan of the distraction factor, but you can't deny the man's talent. Wish him the best

It is against the rules for them to hire him before the Super Bowl.

They haven't "hired" him though....but once we win the Super Bowl for the second straight year, he'll deservedly get his head coaching job in Atlanta.
