Offensive holding being 10 yards is at the top of my list. I’m really not sure how it ever came to be that it has more yardage than most penalties.

If you are going to insist on making it a QB-centric league, there should be separate caps for QBs and the rest of the team. Maybe structure it so that the top five paid players have to fit in the top five cap, and the rest share a different cap.

Make steroids and other PEDs legal so they can be taken more safely.
Want to like most of your post but I can't agree with legal steroids or PEDs,
like help them kill themselves quicker or amassing stats because they can't do
it otherwise?
You lost me there.

Onside kick announcement is the dumbest.

Taunting should just be 5 yards.

I understand where you are coming from, but hear me out.

These guys are already using. It would be shocking if anything less than 90% of the players are using steroids, in some capacity.

When someone who is relatively well educated on endocrinology and steroid effects reads their protocols, he quickly realizes how much damage they are doing to their bodies.

Legalize it, regulate it, and let MDs, who specialize in steroid therapy, guide the players in safe(r) usage. When we monitor the dosages and effects, we can eliminate almost all the damage.

Leaving it illegal and unregulated is far more dangerous to player health and safety than legalizing it and regulating it.

For those who have never dabbled in the field, it’s everywhere. Most of the amateur athletes and competitors I know are using some sort of annabolic. They have no idea what they are doing. Since it’s illegal, they have to rely on underground info to dose, and so they are using ridiculously high doses. No wonder anabolics have such a bad rap.

I would immediately make DPI a 15 yard penalty just like in college instead of spot of the foul. If the NFL is going to call DPI on the most ticky tack of criteria, then pull it back to 15 yards so it's not such a backbreaker. Games are literally being decided on a single DPI call. Either that or go back to calling pass interference when it's actually happening.

I hate this new kickoff format...go back to the old method.
Another I don't like is the pass completion...I don't like that the receiver has to make the 3 steps for it to be a valid reception in regards to a fumble. He catches the ball, gets hit, the ball comes out...FUMBLE. Plain and simple.

Exactly. 50-yard pass, PI gets called, it shouldn't be a spot foul, imo.

Make hits to the head and horse collar tackles legal again. Bring back more practices and longer work hours.

If the players don't like it, they can go work somewhere else. They know the risks. If they are willing to sacrifice their body for money and fame, then do it.
Fender bender calling for more hits. What does your car look like?

This is it, offensive holding is so common and sometimes it’s on the other side of the play, and it is definitely a drive killer, a play that goes for positive yards turns into 1st and 20, as if every time there is an offensive hold the defense was gonna tackle him for a ten yard loss. But if you change it to a five yard penalty to you still have loss of down too?

Steroids kill you, so then anyone who wants to keep up with the juicers is forced to take them or lose their spot, no thanks. Plus people cheat period, so if they’re legal they won’t test for them and people will still take a lot, I had a friend I used to wrestle with who took second place in the worlds strongest man competition, he took steroids in college, he went from 215 to 300 pounds and at 27 died of a massive heart attack. I’m not gonna ever be pro steroids

Yeah I dunno, I see what you are saying though. I think just make it easy and it's always a 15-yard penalty (or half the distance to the goal if it's within 15 yards of the goal line).
I watched a college game the other day and on a long bomb touchdown pass the db was beat and he just grabbed the wr and drug him down. It was blatantly giving up and just taking the penalty

Smart play by the defender if he knows he has been beaten, and I suspect they are told to do that. Better than giving up a sure td.

I agree with you.

The only other 2 sports that I really 'follow' are cycling and bodybuilding - and loosely lately. It's through ALL sports. The Rock doesn't even use public bathrooms - he uses a pee jug when he works out - he doesn't want anyone getting ahold of something to test.

Lance Armstrong has been quoted that during his 'scandal' - that if you weren't using PED - there's no way that you'd even BE in the tour - literally everyone was doing it.

"Leaving it illegal and unregulated is far more dangerous to player health and safety than legalizing it and regulating it." - I'd totally agree with that.

Change the ineligible receiver downfield rules. Flagging an O-lineman for being 6 yards past the line of scrimmage on a pass play is stupid. His action had no impact on the play whatsoever.
Good one right there. Totally opposite side of the field, zero impact on the play and magically it's a penalty. Well, if a QB is running around for his life for 10 seconds, eventually those linemen are going to move forward.

Change the kickoff so that they don’t just bomb it into the end zone and come out to the 30. Let’s have more kick returns.

Keep the pass interference rule but stop favoring the offense.

I always wondered why a DPI is 15 yards but an OPI is only 10 yards

Ironically, the NFL says they changed the kickoffs to allow MORE returns. How is that working out for ya, NFL?

I would change overtime. Give both teams a chance to win. No ties. Like Herman Edwards said, "You play to win the game" go until each team has had the same amount of possessions and someone has a higher score like in college
