Actually Jimmy G won the Seahawks starting QB job tonight. Maybe not to start the season, but eventually. That is, if the Niners cut him. He is clearly an upgrade over any quarterback on this roster.
For some strange reasons, Geno somehow remodeled his new playing style after JimmyG. OK Geno doesn't have Jimmy natural quick release, otherwise Geno trying hard to become JimmyGeno. We may not need the real JimmyG if Geno could keep his current model going.

Lets just hope and pray he last a full season, unlike the unwanted cat down there in Santa Clara.

Not at all sure if Geno could maintain his current level for an entire season. Make no mistake, Geno is playing best ball in his entire pro career, right now. He is doing it by minimizing mistakes, avoid risks, and trying really really hard to make quicker decisions.

I meant injury wise. But, indeed.

My hope is that Lock was still a bit impacted by the virus. He looked good at times but he was having trouble with coverage reads VS vanilla defenses using marginal players. Our receivers didn't help either QB this preseason. I think the regular season will look different with our #1's catching passes and hopefully a solid running game.

Listen to the games with Raible on the radio... doesn't look as bad, and you can work on chores around the house, or outside, without having to endure (unhealthy) sitting all day.
I hope Lock recovers from the virus, whether or not he ever plays again.
I do listen to the games on Kiro. I am in Australia I listen on the net to Kiro and have to endure the tv 30 sec after the play call. And at 71 with 17 inch arms and a strong 6. 1 210 lbs I think I am pretty healthy and not sitting all day. A 1000 lbs Harley and a Catalina 380 to operate every day keeps me not sittinbg.

I think Lock may have been impacted by the realization that PC was probably set on making Geno the starter from the beginning. The competition would have been fairer if Lock practiced with the 1s prior to the game as the starter. To get a apples to apples comparison.
Regardless, Lock didn’t do himself any favors.

I do believe Lock was forcing things a bit because he felt like he had to have a huge performance to get the job. He was never given a fair shot in my opinion. Pete was looking for a reason to name Geno the starter this whole time and as soon as Lock threw a couple picks yesterday he had his reason. Lock was never going to be the QB from day 1.

I think the offense "pops" more with Lock under center, but Drew just isn't ready yet and it's possible he may never be. Geno deserves to start, right now, but if Lock continues to learn, which takes time, he may get an opportunity during the season and that's when he'll show what he's capable of.

Geno doesn't deserve anything. He's combat ineffective.Roll with the young kid and let him make mistakes. They are both terrible but at least Lock has chance to improve. Geno is incapable of doing anything beyond losing and scoring a TD every other game.

He needs to take a que from Jaimeis as Lock while bringing more energy to the field than Smith. lLock is very reckless with the ball and that is his undoing. Once he gets that, if ever, he could be a starter.

I suspect we’ll see him starting before the season is over.

Who cares if he is playing his best? If this is his best then he shouldn't be an NFL qb. He hasn't won. He hasn't dominated a drive. He hasn't done anything spectacular or even great. Everyone knows he is getting this start for Pete's liberal image. Equity at its finest.

I'm sorry if I seemed to be preaching health practices.
I'd never try to tell anyone what to eat, or how to medicate, or excercise, or not exercise.
I'm 1/2 Australian, was in Redcliff/Scarborough for awhile, eating whiting caught from the beach.
Drove up past Bierwa as far as Maroochydore, but want to go farther north to go after those barramundi and some of those big crocs...I tasted samples, and they were like roast beef.

Pete is going with Geno, (let me throw up at that statement.) Why else would he start Geno? Why would he not let Lock have a chance to see if he could win a game in the last 2 minutes?

I love Pete but am losing respect as each game goes by, just like what RW did to me, and don't get me even started on the officiating or helmet to helmet contact on a driving foreword running back.

This league is going to lose me. Almost time to stop watching football, OMG it is getting woke, an prissy, and calls that make every game looked rigged, and I dont mean just against the Hawks, EVERY game looks rigged and penalties that just cant be justified, or non penalties that cant be justified.

Started watching in 1960, I HATE where this game has moved too. 😭😤(n)
Yup. I'm barely watching hawks games (albeit pre season). The nerf helmets are crap.

I agree with what you say here. They're going to lose me too. I've said a couple times - Hawks are pretty much relegated to the porno-esque redzone for the year and I'll decide whether the NFL is even on my radar after that.

It IS all looking rigged. The betting sites are the cause. Want some fun? Watch the CFL here where the Betting site names are ON THE PLAYERS JERSEYS DURING THE GAME.

I think the battle for $ is lost. Gimmie 1978 Steelers versus the packers any ******* day instead of what FADE has accurately termed several times "Basketball on grass".

Barf. And I hate to say any of this. Gimmie also rooting for RW in the early years and our only Owl - until they finished gutting the game. It was funny - on the broadcast last night - i thin it was MRob that said after a hit on a crossing intermediate receiver: "that reminds me of the LOB and the way they hit". I'm like "give your ******* head a shake my friend - Cam would have taken that guys head off!".

Rant off. And, I'm aware that the NFL doesn't give a flying **** what I have to say, and I'm OK with that. ;)

Pete is only worried about his liberal card being revoked. Truth. This is the softest team I have seen Pete assemble to date. He has created a team full of sensitive liberals to cater to the sensitive liberal fans in Seattle. They're more worried about vaccine boosters and their liberal image than they are winning games and being tough football players. I went from liking Pete to the point where I can't stand looking at his stupid face.
One of the more hilarious and unhinged posts I've ever seen.
