My memories from super frigid games consists of mostly accurate passing from Wilson and uncharacteristically high number of drops from receivers. It was the same story for Hasselbeck, with the Bears playoff game the week after beastquake as the most prominent example of that.
The ball gets hard and slick. It's really difficult to catch any way you try to catch it, hands or cradle. Numb fingers make even more difficult. You have no sensory information (or less detailed info) from your finger tips. That signal from your finger tips telling your brain to tell your hands the ball is there and it's time to squeeze it, is delayed. Fumbles and dropped passes a plenty coming right up.

What other players struggle in. Bad weather, god to hear some talk its only Wilson, sarcasm off.
