Seahawks waive Sidney Jones

Cornerback Sidney Jones didn't get traded on Tuesday, but he is leaving the Seahawks, The Seahawks announced that they waived Jones after the trade deadline passed on Tuesday afternoon.

I have not yet found any confirmation of this roster move at any other usual source as yet but believe it to be accurate and expected.

Irvin has been a a positive influence on the younger edge rushers and the D collectively are better b/c of his presence and experience.

There were in fact two roster moves today. Besides the activation of CB- Tre Brown from PUP to the 53 the team released WR- Kevin Kassis from the PS.

I sure do hope Brown is sound for the long haul. I really like the prospect of Brown, Woolen, and Bryant with our safety crew. We need some primo LB help.

Suspect the next draft will bring the ILB help. It is presently an area of obvious weakness.

The players on IR will return to try to compete for a spot with the young guys. Barton is likely done after this season or he will be cheap.
