damn that RB room is SOLID.
No! Damn!NFL.com reporting that George Holani has been cut - https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker-team-by-team-player-moves-ahead-of-the-2024-season
Should have been a better tackler instead of last game.DJ James cut
Agree. But can still hope.I suspect he ends up somewhere else. Can't imagine him or Sheriff would make it to the practice squad.
That sucks. I wonder if this was Holani's request. Maybe he sees himself having more snaps with another team, and Seattle wanted to respect his request.NFL.com reporting that George Holani has been cut - https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker-team-by-team-player-moves-ahead-of-the-2024-season
That would be awesome, though I personally doubt it'll come to pass.If we can get Holani, Sheriff & Rhattigan on the PS, it would be amazing to have that level of depth there. Crossing fingers.
Totally aligned. I have more questions about OL than LB right now. Dodson had a great PS...not worried at all about his skill level. We haven't seen Baker yet, but he was a top performer in Miami, so assuming MM thinks he's gonna play well. Rhattigan being cut indicates they like what Knight brought and have faith in Barrett (Who played really well against the Browns w/o having a single team practice). I do not have the concerns at ILB now I did prior to PS.That would be awesome, though I personally doubt it'll come to pass.
I mean, I still have '????' for this roster (mostly the Offensive Line and a little bit regarding the ILB, since we haven't actually seen our final starting lineups for either play yet), but it's got to be a good sign there are so many guys (I'd add Winston Jr. to this list) that are legit disappointing to see cut.
A rookie head coach, rookie OC, yeah, I get it... but I'm actually pretty enthused about this roster.
I agree pretty much across the board here.Totally aligned. I have more questions about OL than LB right now. Dodson had a great PS...not worried at all about his skill level. OL leans hoprful, but injuries blur that picture a bunch. Cross and Fant both played well in their PS 5 snaps. Lucas would upgrade to Fant assuming he is the same guy, but Fant was a great addition. Beyond those 3, OT drops significantly in talent. Probably still better than we have seen in recent years, but we would see an impact if we need to go to the next man.
I'm excited for G a bit. It could be Haynes and Bradford as starters. Bradford played 650+ snaps last year with 4 penalties and 1 sack allowed. Thats pretty good for a rook. CBS had him #9 in draft value picks last year. The fact that Haynes challenged him and we saw them both on the line at the same time in multiple PS games says they are at least thinking of starting both of them. Again, if we have to go next man, dropoff will be evident.
I think C is in a really good spot if Williams returns to pre-injury form. Olu would be a dropoff, but capable and I wouldn't stress as much there.
All other positon groups are above mid-line and some top-line IMO.
Feeling better this year that I have in the past 6+.
EDIT: I think we will see Winston Jr. added to the PS and hoping Okada makes it as well. Both stood out among #3's in pre-season.
This one surprised me too. I thought they would keep 4 rbs and Holani was definitely one of the top 4 based on preseason game performance (from my pov). That sucks. I wonder if this was Holani's request. Maybe he sees himself having more snaps with another team, and Seattle wanted to respect his request.
