I’m home for today. I fly out tomorrow morning with a layover in Seattle which would have lined up with an afternoon game but now I have to see if the plane has the game or try to stream it. Such a big game too.

I agree on Dardon who looked acceptably good returning kicks. He was one of a few who actually showed up last night.

My belief regrettably is the same issues of weak pass protection, a non-existent running game, along with a tepid to cold pass edge rush shone through last night.

Unfortunately suspect the team will get crushed by Minnie and leave their home fans with and worsening homefield losing season. With the playoffs in sight the team didn’t show up at home again. Seriously disappointing indeed, more changes are needed.

"Seattle has an open roster spot with Burns’ departure. It should be noted that backup right tackle Stone Forsythe must be activated by Wednesday or else he’ll revert to season-ending IR upon completion of his 21-day practice window. Safety K’Von Wallace is also eligible to return from IR but was not activated last week."

Thanks Jville, as ever always appreciated!!!

I suspect we may see another roster move but there is a hard decision to be made here as K'Von Wallace is more valuable to the team than Forsythe at present, yet Forsyth is needed OLine depth.

This whole burns thing has me a bit confused. I’m not sure why the activated him Saturday just to put him as inactive Sunday then waived him. Seems odd

I suspect the team is moving in a different direction and looking at other players to add to the roster, including players from other team or other recent cuts. Burns while a former 1st round pick has never played up to his draft position and I suspect the team thought he was over valued for what he brought to the team. Of course there could be more to this than just that but i suspect MM and the defensive staff didn't think he was worth keeping.

With some of the other roster changes that are impending Wallace and Forsyth someone needed to go. I expect another 53 man roster move,

I suspect Abraham Lucas aching legs will not fully recover until he can give his body a month or more of complete rest. The offensive line looks like they are just trying to survive the season.

Looking forward to seeing an injury update on Olu. Mike Novitsky could be the practice team promotion if Olu's injury knocks him out of Sunday's game.

You could be right about Novitsky if Olu is out. You have excellent insight with these OLine guys. Lucas has played well considering he is really recovering still from serious reconstructive knee surgery. On that front he undoubtedly will need a solid receding offseason without further complication to be fully back but he’s played pretty well considering. Those big guys need more recuperative time for their knee issues.

Sundell did well in replacing Olu and was for sure a good find by the team As a UDFA. Must say as well save for a few bad plays Laumea has been a happy surprise. Not sure I understand why Haynes is in the doghouse but in time all will be revealed. Hopefully whatever it is he can eventually show that Senior Bowl nasty ability that attracted the interest of the team enough to draft him. I have little concern regarding the Tackles but the interior guys remain an ongoing concern.

The interior line has been struggling for some time. It makes little sense to draft pancaking run blockers who are vulnerable to explosive pass rushes if the Pro level play caller ends up calling pass plays 61% of the time. We keep hearing about a balanced attack as a goal. However, to date, that has rarely materialize. If you ask me, it's not a player personnel problem. The Green Bay Packers schooled the Seahawks with an attacking style of play calling on Sunday Night Football. Roughly 50/50 run/pass. Being the aggressor 50% of the time builds linemen chemistry and aggressiveness. Taking the battle to the opponent. Asking linemen who were drafted for their aggressive run blocking at the college level to pull retrograde duty 61% of the time just hasn't work out all that well for them or the team.

College scouting objectives need to align with pro level play calling realities. I just don't see a credible commitment to the run game. In my eyes, it's still too much of a one dimensional play calling offense. Change might have to wait on roster churn leading into the 2025 season.

Either that or more creative run play calling. For me at least at times you see the collective ability to do more than just pass protect poorly. The O is regrettably pass centric and dubiously creative at that. Winning teams have the ability to run the ball.

Young players including 4 rookies and a rookie OC with 1st year coaching staff. Hung up on a learning curve. Tripped up by a succession of injuries. Looks like they're running out of season. Still, it has been an interesting season. Well worth following.

I agree on every point. At times it looks good but mostly suspect with the running attack. Worth watching indeed but frustrating to watch at times. The D is progressing nicely with the odd setback of lessened intensity.

LOL, when the music stops they whiff on their runblocks or the QB gets sacked, or they just fall down.

Upon reflection perhaps that’s unfair but all in all they need to play better.
