2021 Seahawks Depth Chart, Roster Moves, Cap Position

By rule RB- Adrian Peterson reverts to the PS.

I suspect that the team will make a roster move early this week to include Peterson on the 53 man roster. Upon reflection perhaps there is no rush as he can be brought up and down 1 more time before the team must make a roster move to lock him on the 53 man roster.

Seahawks sign DT to PS.


As per Bob Condotta Twitter:

Seahawks today signed nose tackle Niles Scott to their practice squad. That fills out the PS. Scott among the players who worked out for Seahawks on Tuesday.

By rule OLB- Edmond Robinson reverts to the PS. Unfortunately it would appear that it is possible that CB- Heslop may be put on IR with a fractured leg injury, he is out of ability to move back to the PS. Putting him on IR will open a roster spot, and a PS spot.

Seahawks have signed WR Matt Cole to practice squad. Seattle had open spot after signing Gavin Heslop to the 53 last week.

In addition to being a standout returner in college, Cole recorded 18 special teams tackles in both his junior and senior seasons. As a receiver Cole had 43 catches for 939 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior.

In addition to providing linebacker depth, Muse figures to take on a big role on special teams. Muse has been elevated from the practice squad twice this season, and in those games he played 65 percent of Seattle's special teams snaps against Jacksonville, and 78 percent against Green Bay.

Apparently the Seahawks also signed safety Josh Jones (6'-1" & 220lbs) to the practice squad today.

Jones, a second-round pick out of NC State in the 2017 draft, spent his first two seasons in Green Bay, starting seven games as a rookie, and has also played for Dallas, Jacksonville and most recently the Colts, appearing in a total of 54 games, starting 25. Last season Jones started 13 games for Jacksonville, recording a career-best 83 tackles and one interception.
