    Seahawks Sign Mario Edwards

The team does absolutely need to add another big bodied NT to round out depth. But it feels as though it may have moved farther down the Emergency Priority List for the organization than it has for the fans. It could just be me, but I'm pretty intrigued by what Cameron Young and Robert Cooper...

Post Draft Hype - May 3rd Edition

Setting aside the semantics of whether we have the best WR room in the league or second best by a slim margin, I'm hyped to watch this already very potent offense take another step forward. Ever since the draft ended all I can do is day dream about how filthy 3rd downs are going to be when...

Mike Morris will play DT 3

Boom. Morris is going to play 5-tech DE. Can we start putting the "wholesale change back to 4-3" narrative to bed now?

2023 defense, will the league respect?

☝🏻 This. The sharp organizations sign draft hedges. The fact that JS went out and signed Brown meant that we didn't have to reach for a C. Proactively signing Dre'mont and Jarran Reed meant that we didn't have to force DL picks. Now the organization gets to use how the draft board fell to them...

    Finally We Picked A DT

He 2-gaps like a boss. And he will probably end up playing closer to 320. I know everyone is hard hung up on the one little soundbite from Sherm, but I promise there will not be a wholesale switch back to the 43. Odd fronts on early downs would make sense; but Hall is an EDGE that will play most...

    Personal Draft grades

We killed it. The team addressed every need outside of ILB, and I'm sure that will be shored up in UDFA. I think PC/JS did an excellent job of navigating expectations and the way the board fell to them while really sticking to their guns in terms of drafting BPA. I'm sure many fans and pundits...

2nd Round #37 Pick DE/OLB Auburn, Derick Hall

From #20 to #14 so we could snake him from the Jets? I dunno how I would have felt about that.

2nd Round #37 Pick DE/OLB Auburn, Derick Hall

I was absolutely expecting an EDGE with this pick, but I truthfully thought it would be Keion White! Hall is an excellent and very, very versatile EDGE. He was a standout stud on a fairly poorly coached Auburn team. Comfortable with his hand in the dirt and as an on-ball LB. An excellent pick...

Did we just get the best wr and cb in the draft?

Man. Hard to say if it will shake out exactly like that in the long run. But; what we did get was two absolute stud day 1 starters. One for each side of the ball. These two picks really smacked of the "true BPA" strategy that JS had been preaching leading up to the draft. This is fun af!!

    Geno interview on Sherm's Pod

Or...perhaps we will receive no data points with which to determine the direction the defense is moving from a front/schematic standpoint. But, we did end up with the CB1 and WR1 from this draft! So there is that.

    Geno interview on Sherm's Pod

You know my friend, I think you and I are kind of arguing the same point from two different sides of the coin. I bolded part of your last paragraph because it was actually almost word-for-word what I said in the opening paragraph of my post you're responding to. I think you and I both, and I...

    Geno interview on Sherm's Pod

I've gone a few rounds with a few different folks about this quote and it's meaning. My truthful and most respectful read on the situation is as follows: I don't think that soundbite truly pertains at all to a wholesale scheme shift back to a 43 from 34. I think that that ultimately the defense...

Wagner returns to Seattle (1 year/$7 million)

A hefty, but not unbearable sum. I'm gonna let my emotions drive this time though. I couldn't be more fired up. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO!!

    Hawks sign Julian Love (Safety)

Brother, I hear you. I totally understand where you're coming from on this. I know as fans most are ready to be done with Adams. But it doesn't matter whether you, I, or anybody thinks JA will deliver ROI this season. It feels like the organization does believe that he can help them win inside...

    Hawks sign Julian Love (Safety)

This. His skillset has always translated best to a Mark Barron-esque box safety/hybrid linebacker. I agree that the Love signing is both a health hedge and a sign that they want to employ a Big Nickle with all three safeties on the field. I know it feels like a lifetime ago, but the Hawks were...

    Seahawks sign center Evan Brown

Hard agree. Tons of value past round 3. Which is great, because I feel like we're best served concentrating largely on the defensive front 7 with our premium draft capital. I like Tippman a lot too. You're spot on about the football IQ and those Wisco lineman are always legit. My only worry...

    Seahawks sign center Evan Brown

Precisely. Most fans and pundits are smitten with JMS and Wypler. And rightfully so, as those are great player/prospects. But I'm with you in that I see some depth in this class at C. The Brown signing makes feel like the Hawks could wait a bit to throw a dart at my personal favorite C that few...

    Seahawks sign center Evan Brown

This is the part I like the most. Even if we end up with a JMS or Wypler in the draft and they excel right away, Brown can still push Haynes for RG and is versatile enough to backup all the IOL positions. A guy like this is best case scenario for the Hawks right now.

    Seahawks sign center Evan Brown

I like it. Gives us a nice veteran bridge for whatever Center we draft. Also more and more flexibility and maneuverability come draft day.

Should we sign Jamaal Williams (RB)?

I love Jamaal Williams' game. I love everything about him being a Seahawk on paper. I think he would be a hell of a culture and locker room fit. He's hard runner with a nose for the end zone. I just think his price tag will be prohibitive to him landing with us.
