Side note:

Who the Hell is “Judy” that folks keep talking about?
I was going to say the same thing but I'm older and wiser now and learning to pick my battles. I no longer always have to be right or correct people. If you tell me 1+1=5, you're right.

Isn't it every team's goal (minus NY Jets) to build a dynasty?!?

Establish a tight culture - check

Bring in players/coaches that believe in said culture - check

Stay consistent with culture but evolve when needed (so far) - check

Bring in young talent that blends in with team culture - check

Now what is still to be seen is if this culture continues to perform at an above average level.

You can't proclaim a "dynasty" for many years and we are only in to McDonald's third year.

Waiting to see if the older still dynamic players want to play here for not top dollar (which is another good indicator IMO.)

But every professional team WANTS to create a dynasty.

Still early, but I voted absolutely with a huge homer bias. One Owl is a good start, but 3 in 5 years with 2 years of making the playoffs and showing up (even in a loss) is my benchmark for dynasty territory...and that's pretty rare and hard to achieve.

I think of the cheating @$$ Pats team and the Mahomes/Reid Chiefs as the only two in recent memory that I would say accomplished dynasty levels of winning. Basically when people hate seeing the team win and hope/celebrate a loss, lol.

If we win the SB this year, it would be 4 appearances with 3 Lombardi’s in the last 23 years.
That is pretty strong, assuming we repeat.

In all fairness, the Hawks are in the top 4 MOST SUCCESSFUL teams in the last 15 years.

I’ll assume some sort of bias is the culprit in us not getting the same attention as the other 3.

Pats
Chiefs
Packers

Not to be the Debbie Downer but every organization that has won the superbowl all thought they had the right pieces in place to either repeat or be able to build another championship team just like they did the first time. We thought we could be a dynasty with the first superbowl until one play happened and ruined it all. And even before that play had a chance to ruin it all, it took an epic collapse in the championship game in order to just make it back to the superbowl. And after that it took our great organization 12 years to get another one. Why couldnt they just reload within a year or two? Anything can happen but teams come and go all the time. Even if seahawks stay great, that doesnt mean another team doesnt come out of nowhere to build into their own championship caliber team. Clearly i hope we win 10 in a row, but history and realism say its most likely not going to be the case.

If this isn't what a dynasty build looks like, then someone please show me what is.

I don't think you can really have dynasties these days (without cheating). I think you have "Championship Windows" where you can put out a team that if things got right, they can win a Lombardi. The Hawks are in that window now and will be until we lose our QB or pass rush.
Of course several other teams are also in that window: Rams, Eagles, Broncos, Bills, KC, Pats and even the Niners.

The niners window is closing fast. They got some huge cap hits coming the next couple years. OTC has them in the red next year with a few other teams. Right now they're the only team in the red in 2028. If you want to overcome that you need a really good quarterback. Purdy is a decent quarterback but far from elite.

KC's gonna be having some cap problems too. And Buffalo. But KC has Mahomes. And a very good defensive coordinator they won't have to lose to a head coaching gig. So you never know.

Injuries can derail the best laid plans. But as it stands now, Seattle and LA are clearly the best teams. Oddsmakers think so too.

No Dynasties, last one may have been the Cowboys with Smith, Irvin, Aikman, salarys too high, contracts short, injuries decimate a team with more games and shorter rest. KC had a run but not a dynasty in my mind.

They couldn’t because of the intangibles.

I preach it all the time.
“Team chemistry” matters, and it matters more than most understand or will admit to.

That “one play” you speak of did a lot of damage, more damage than just what we saw in that moment.
Years later and we have heard many candid interviews, we know clearly what put the breaks on that dynasty.

That was then this is now, we have a second chance. That’s a second chance that many teams don’t get.

It’s still a great time to be a Seahawk fan but in terms of “that play” eff the past.

GoHawks.
