I said maybe. We have the team but our division is tough and the Rams are going all in. It's hard enough to get back let alone build a dynasty. We thought we had the team last decade and it didn't happen. I am optimistic BUT a lot has to go right for a long period of time and those are out of everyone's control.

I doubt I'm the only one that was still like "We just won the Super Bowl"
Or after the Rams game "Dude, we're going to the Super Bowl"

I still felt like 2026 was gonna' be the season for it. What a great surprise that was.

Funny how a team that only lost 3 games the entire season, dominated the SB and really could have won all 3 of those........still gets the downplay from the media. I love it. They did it much of last season, we know how that turned out.

Let's do that sh** again.

Here and there
I voted yes. There are a couple of things that need to happen for this run to continue IMO.

QB - Darnold's contract is up next year. How they handle an extension is a big part of it. I firmly believe all these QBs who aren't game changers getting $55m+ are killing their teams competitiveness. If you give Darnold that kind of deal, you can kick the can down the road a year or two, but eventually it saps the ability to field a top team.

DL - Williams, Reed and Lawrence will need to be replaced soon as they get further into their 30's. There is some very promising younger DL guys on the team, but losing those 3 players over the next few years is a hit to the DL depth. John has to hit on the draft or FA to keep that depth.

Fortunately John has done an absolute masterclass in building this team and somehow still having plenty of cap space and a ton of picks in what should be a loaded draft. I think he can pull it off.
What's the chance of Darnold becoming trade bait for more picks (depending on how on how well he fares this season) and Milroe transitioning to be his replacement? I just don't see John and Mike trading in the farm to overpay Sam as much as I and everyone else who likes the dude.

I feel you Soul, but dang the Rams are stacked this year for a "Go for the Gold" season. I'm a bit concerned about our running game and the new OC, but the Hawks played me last year too. We still have that defense that can shut anybody down on any gameday so there's that.

I voted - Maybe. I need to see more.

The term "Dynasty" and its meaning is pretty different nowadays because of the "revolving door" that was mentioned.

With the Salary Cap, it's not what it used to be.

I said "Maybe" because of other outside factors that are always lurking out there which would affect the team either in a positive or negative manner.

Only thing I can do as a fan is just focus on one season at a time and hope the next season leads to another Lombardi.

But let's be honest here : If Sam leads us to another Lombardi, does it really matter what his next contract here would be?

Speaking of which :

Interesting breakdown.

On the topic of dynasties and Darnold, can you imagine if he wins even one more SB? The national media would have to start debating whether he's a HOF QB or not. Now I suspect the conversation will lean toward those being "team" wins, but it WOULD be a conversation.

Nope. Already built. We've just completed Phase 1 of 4. Currently in Phase 2 of the dynasty. After completion of the fourth phase will be the six-Lombardi SB bling bling.

About the same "chance" as you or I winning the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot.

Are the Seahawks building a dynasty? Hell no, the Seahawks are already a dynasty! The Seahawks have the best owner in Judy; the best owner-GM relationship in the love fest between Judy and Schneider, and the best GM-HC relationship in Schneider-Macdonald.

SOLID dynasty foundation, bar none.

I wanted to say very possible and it is. But, went with maybe. I agree that we thought this after Super Bowl 48 but then came crashing to earth with reports that surfaced about iffy relationships within the ranks, obviously the terrible result of SB49, and seeing it crumble.

Still, this bunch is different. I think the culture is better even than during Pete's era. There's a lot of still young talent, players get along. Tough to lose the great management guys, but it's next man up there which should help continuity.

Of course there's possibilities that could happen to derail this entirely encouraging upward direction. But, anyone can rattle off those same old lame things just to rain on our parade. I just see it's more probable that this team is going to be better this year and continue to be a top contender.

Of course, a repeat Championship would be amazing. Regardless, at least at this point, I see a franchise built to contend for at least the next 2-3 years and likely much longer with all the positives.

I guess we'll see if new ownership affects any of this.

Except that Judy is on the outs and we don't know how the new owner will operate yet. 🤷‍♂️

Before our very eyes? It is an emphatic yes to me. The pieces are in place, the culture is ingrained, by all accounts this team is ahead of schedule. What say you?

I tend to agree Todd but…..

We have something hanging over our heads that could very easily throw a monkey wrench into the works.

NEW OWNERSHIP

it’s a huge variable in the equation, and we just don’t know how it’s going to shake out.

I’ll be pessimistically optimistic, with fingers crossed and prayers being sent.
