I don't like bringing up Geno's completion percentage. It's misleadingly high. It doesn't reflect his actual level of play, and it's overrated.
With that said, I'm nowhere near benching the guy for Lock. Lock kinda pissed his chance away. Geno'd have a way shorter leash if Lock showed some modicum of competence in the preseason. Geno can hit the intermediate stuff, but he needs help from his running game and his interior line.
Without the running game, neither Geno or Lock can get it done. Point blank. Lock's reckless abandon and Grossman-like "eff it, I'm goin DEEP" stuff doesn't help the team if he doesn't have a running game to move the chains so he can afford to be ballsy.
Also, it's been two games. Yeah, the past six quarters have been uninspiring, but its weird to lay it all on Geno. Whole offense has sucked. Whole team has, if we're keepin' it real.
