Based off the current in-house candidates that have been interviewed, which one gives you the most confidence that the offense will remain the same? In terms of both scheme & production.

I'm picking Outten. I mentioned this in another thread, but Outten has limited play calling experience, but it is promising. He called the plays for the Broncos last 2 games of the 2022 season, and the offense looked far & away better than it had all season. They were running the ball effectively, Russell Wilson looked good throwing down the middle on intermediate routes, and there were some good deep shots as well.

Plus, if you watched the Super Bowl Mic'd up video, somewhere between the 3-5 minute mark, you can see Outten huddled up with the offense, so we know he can be a vocal leader.

Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see, but that's just what I'm feeling at the moment. What say you?

Philip Rivers.

We already lost out on all the best candidates (ironically, by winning), let's go for the fun one!

I don’t know who I want so I trust John and Mike. But it’s a hard position for the Hawks right now. Best candidates are gone and Kubiak was such a revelation that it’s hard to find a better one.

But even if it’s hard, it’s still the best possible position to be 🏆

Um, all the choices were basically gone.
To each his/her own. They just won the SB. I couldn't worry about this if I tried. So many Meh burgers.

Someone fully capable of thinking on their toes in the final 1:43 of a close game with the LAmbs. I don't care how cute your playbook is. If you don't know when to call them shits, then they're just a jumbled mess of words. With that said, I voted: I trust the folk being paid to decide.

How did we end up with Grubb?
Mac may have not made that choice, I just don't want that
ever happening again.
It does worry me but we got Grubb because we got MM so late in the cycle that most coaching jobs were filled.

At least now we know what offensive identity works for us and MM has familiarity with offensive coaches in the current system.

From reports it sounds like they already have an internal candidate they're high on.

However, I'd really like them to check out and possibly bring in someone from our last opponent in TE coach/passing game coordinator Thomas Brown. He's had OC experience as well as play calling experience. He came up under the McVay system where he won a SB as RB coach and in 2023, while in Carolina, was named one of the top offensive coordinators in the league in an NFLPA poll of players... Here is an AI breakdon of Browns offensive scheme/philosophy:
Thomas Brown’s offensive scheme centers on a physical, run-first mentality designed to establish control at the line of scrimmage, utilizing varied personnel, shifts, and motions to create defensive chaos. His approach emphasizes simplifying concepts for efficiency, marrying the run with play-action passes, and catering to the quarterback's specific strengths.

Seems like a really good fit if he's willing to move back to the West Coast!
