Exactly. When the NFL starts being "loyal" to cities, then I'll start thinking about "loyalty" again.
The only time in my lifetime I can remember the NFL stepping in on behalf of a city was with
the Saints. And I think the only real reason they did it, is because they thought it would
ultimately be "bad for business" to let Benson move the team to San Antonio right after
the storm. It was a PR decision, not a "loyalty" to that city.
Loyalty means very, VERY little in the NFL business. Sure, there are the rare random players
who don't want to move, and take less pay because they really like a city and have the option
to stay there, but it doesn't happen often, and when it does a LOT of people tell those players
they're making a bad decision.
