I know at times Russ has overthrown some receivers however watching the games this year he has virtually no time to set up. Almost every throw is on the run or scrambling. His incredible running skills have probably single handidly won 2 games for us this year. If we had a pure in the pocket passer we would be losing some of these that we have won. I can't imagine how good our O would look with a good blocking line that gave him time to set and go through reads.

All I have to say is thank The Lord for Russell.

Without RW I believe we are closer to 1-5 than 5-1.

That may be a slight overreaction, but Russell is definitely one of those guys that turns close losses into wins. I'm beyond excited we finally have one of those.

That's scary but possibly true.

"he tilts the field"... isn't that what Schneider said? Even on that fumble where the titans player tried to scoop it up and Russell just made a short-stop play and grabbed the ball right back. Saved our bacon right there.

Boy if it's an overreaction it's not by much. No Russell and we don't walk out of Carolina with the win. The D was killing Kaep, and then we had Jax, and I'll give you those two, but there is no Texan win without Russell and he was a huge reason for today's.

That's 2 and 5 if my math is right which is quite a bit closer to 1 and 5 than 5 and 1.

The 5-0
RW is the man. Put a healthy line (that can pass block) in front of him and his already stellar numbers improve by 20%...IMO.

Edit: As I watch last years ROTY (LOL) try his best to throw multiple interceptions to a Dallas secondary afraid to create TOs, I am just so grateful to have RW. Only Luck is better in this young crop and other than Mariota, I don't see anyone comparable coming out anytime soon, either. Great work PC and JS. Please trade all of our 1sts and 2nds going forward (for lower rd picks) and this team will be stacked forever. ; )

A message to the few on the Gameday forum that were bagging on Russ:

Got news for you, this kid's an absolute winner and most often finds a way to get his team a "W". He is not perfect but no QB is. Tom Brady threw a brutal interception today with 2 mins. left vs. the Saints and still found a way to drive his team down the field and win it with a TD pass with :05 left on the clock. That's what winners do. Oh, Brady's a mere 3-2 in Super Bowls. Does that mean he sucks? After all the years of Kelly Stouffer, Dan McGwire et.al. how in the hell can anyone not be anything but absolutely thrilled with this kid? Don't forget, he's played exactly 24 NFL games. Think where he will be 5 years from now. I for one have been waiting all 38 seasons for this kid and I am very much going to enjoy watching him win a lot of games in the next 12 or so years.

Does that mean he's above criticism? Of course not. His accuracy needs work for example. But let me tell you, with that work ethic he will get that squared away. It was already better today than it has been previously this season. As the OP said in the title to this post "thank the Lord for Russell Wilson". Oh, and "Go Hawks!".

I love Russell Wilson, he is going to go down in Seattle history as one of the greatest. But I still have both my signed Dan McGwire and Rick Mirer rookie cards to remind me of how "not good" it was.

I still haven't run across anyone bad mouthing the best QB in team history, but if I did I'd say this: After giving a single 3rd rd pick to get him, I am certain we could get 2 1st rd picks for him. He is the man and everybody knows it (as I watch another ridiculous pass thrown by that over-rated and not missed QB from Baylor).

well with this game, he recorded the highest QBR rating of all Qbs this season (btw, I dont care if you like QBR or not, so put your opinion of it in your pocket) and with this game, jumps up to #2 for the season behind only Manning. Shows that despite our terrible flaws that are so obvious to us, he is phenomenal.

Thanks to RW today, but especially Lynch (again) moreso.
D also kept us in there today in saving a rather pathetic offe nsive performance (at HOME!!!).

sorry, RW gets more time in the microscope for me, but he came up with some saving moments there today too.
waiting for his passing game to come around. Will it? We'll see.

Admire your strong stomach cuz mine ain't near strong enough to sit through a mid-season Cowpatties v. Skins game. Thank God for playoff baseball so I don't have to watch that shit.

It's not so bad if you watch RGIII's utter inability to avoid contact and his stupid showboating when he should be going out of bounds causing him to get hit even more.

I was near puking at the thought of watching also, but seeing Mr. Deer Legs has something going for it.
