Trying to use stats as facts only works in comparable situations and only if looking at all stats. You cannot compare the heaviest run first offense in the league statistically to a pass first offense. It doesn't equate. You need to also look at YAC, catch percentage, route running and speed and much more. Boldins total yards doesn't translate to doing the same on another team and that is especially true in Seattle where we pass less than the rest of the league.
I at work so can't look up stats right now but the whole story changes if you factor everything in. How has Boldin done when asked to be the #1?
I'm not being a homer in my statement above. We just releases Michael Robinson because he was due 2.5 million. The cap is at the front of our priority right now for obvious reasons and because we have very good depth filled with guys that look like very good potential starters in the near future Bold in very likely would not make our roster without restructuring his pay.
None of your other receivers would stand a chance at stealing a roster spot here and that is not homerism. There is a reason you still don't know who your #2 will be throughout the season and you are trading for guys like Baldwin who are considered a massive bust.
Your FO would kill right now to have any one of our current backups and like I said before, any one if them would be immediate starters for you. Sorry but that is the truth.
