The wet paper bag that Green Bay calls a defense let Kaepernick sit in the pocket all day, and almost never covered Boldin. Good luck getting your offense going against us. Seahawks back on top next week. :)

That was due to the Packers plan to stop the run game at all costs. It certainly won't happen that way Sunday. Seattle has the secondary to succeed where Green Bay failed with most of the resources going to stop the run. It will be interesting to see how it happens, but I'm more worried about RW than Seattle's defense.

Don't get me wrong, man. You guys have a great team. But what is it about your offense that makes the Packers defense look as if they don't understand football at all? In the playoff game, it was as if they didn't realize the qb was allowed to run past the line of scrimmage. And in this last game it was as if they decided the only way to counteract that was to play to the extreme the exact opposite. If I was a cheesehead, I'd be calling for Dom Capers job based on those two games alone.

Go Hawks.

GOOD!

I think the Niners should be #1. At least in terms vs the Hawks being #1. I think we got a great team. But I am not comfortable saying we're the best in the league at this point. We haven't done enough to earn it, IMO. Not saying they won't be there as the season progresses. But as of right now, let SF have it.

Go Hawks.

Since when have we done otherwise against qbs?

Very different story with us, though. We keep covering guys, and extra time in the pocket against us is nowhere near as valuable as it is against almost any other team in the league. Our joke of a pass rush (which I hope will be fixed with the return of Clemons, Irvin, and Avril at varying points) will hopefully be better this year, however.

I feel really good about this Sunday's game. Don't know exactly why, but I do. We will win the game.

Bayless can eat a bag of... whatever. Never liked him.

Trying to use stats as facts only works in comparable situations and only if looking at all stats. You cannot compare the heaviest run first offense in the league statistically to a pass first offense. It doesn't equate. You need to also look at YAC, catch percentage, route running and speed and much more. Boldins total yards doesn't translate to doing the same on another team and that is especially true in Seattle where we pass less than the rest of the league.

I at work so can't look up stats right now but the whole story changes if you factor everything in. How has Boldin done when asked to be the #1?

I'm not being a homer in my statement above. We just releases Michael Robinson because he was due 2.5 million. The cap is at the front of our priority right now for obvious reasons and because we have very good depth filled with guys that look like very good potential starters in the near future Bold in very likely would not make our roster without restructuring his pay.

None of your other receivers would stand a chance at stealing a roster spot here and that is not homerism. There is a reason you still don't know who your #2 will be throughout the season and you are trading for guys like Baldwin who are considered a massive bust.

Your FO would kill right now to have any one of our current backups and like I said before, any one if them would be immediate starters for you. Sorry but that is the truth.

Once again, all your doing is giving me your opinion. I respect that you feel your WR's are so talented.

Well we do know for FACT that your depth at WR/TE is below Seattles for one simple reason. YOu just poached a guy off our practice squad and signed him to your active roster- 4th round pick Chris Harper. If you really were as deep at WR/TE that you think you are, than there would be absolutely no room on your 53 man roster for a developmental player like Harper.

The very fact that you signed him off our PS demonstrates this.

I love this bias towards offense these days. Look at the margin of victory. It's virtually the same.

SF wins by 6 (get spotted 4 because of the ref blunder)
SEA wins by 5.

But because SF scored a bunch of points and there defense got torched, That's somehow more impressive than a defense that totally locks downs the opponent (allowing just 2 drives into scoring position- the last of which was helped by 2 questionable 15 yard penalties) and through self blunders in the heat and on the road found a way to get a win.
