Just listening to it on 710. Saves 26 mil in cap space. Tip of the cap for them cutting bait on the mistake that was Dremont Jones.

I'm sure they will want to give Lockett the recognition he deserves. They did this the right way. He shouldn't be cut with that list of do nothings.
Good point. Totally separate if they do it. He's an all-time great seahawk. You could argue that he's the 2nd best WR in team history.

I really suspect the team and Lockett may find some basis to stay together for another couple of seasons. Maybe just wishful thinking but I hope not.

I used OTC numbers and it came to $27,252,500. I rounded to 27.25. I assume OTC is fairly accurate.
As far as the reason behind it, this isn’t about extending anyone if that’s what you’re thinking. It could help get a deal with Jones or just a little space for other free agents. I’m sure there will be more moves coming soon enough.

Just heard that Saquon got 2 years, 41 mil from Philly. Not Hawks related, but he's worth it, and then some.
IF he takes a much lower deal for 2025, would love to have him back.

Statistically he is by a long shot. But for me Doug is like Marshawn. He meant way more than his stats(which werent bad at all). Seattle really should just draft the next reciever born in Tulsa on Sept 28th. Its only wierd if it doesn't work.

Still think the Giants not playing Barkley was very defensible at the time and probably the right decision with the information they had. He was frequently injured and was coming off a terrible season, one of several disappointing seasons he had had since they took him #2 overall in the draft, passing on Josh Allen and Sam Darnold even though they had no backup for 37-year-old Eli Manning. Eventually, a bad team can't keep giving top of the market money to an unreliable player at a non-premium position. They just got unlucky that Barkley went to the Eagles.
