3Brand clothing returns to obscure the crucifix, with a hint at his giants no contact jersey underneath it.

Note the minifootballs he is giving out, seen in the Giants clear tote. What kid other than a baby wants a mini football?

A ton of ex and current players are giving Russ props for finally going after Payton and they're clowning Payton because of it. I don't think he's all that respected among players. I wish this was the Russ from the beginning instead of always trying to be a politician with stuff. I love Russ but the criticism of him in this regard was always fair.

Payton didn’t say anything that all 32 HCs think, including Russell’s own. Thats why Russ is in fact a QB2.

Russell is the bully in poor taste. Sean Payton gets no bounty from Schefter for saying the obvious, obviously.

It was Russ and his Me3 press that smutted Payton for taking ownerships side over asking him to void an injury guarantee THROUGH 2025 that Russell could have earned with every one of the league high sacks he took in 2023. Which Payton would have taken the blame for. Yet even Payton didn’t bump DiNucci up to qb2 and Russ to qb3 in the two games where he made Stidham the starter.

Call it gentleman’s courtesy, or call it a veiled threat from me3. Russ has continued to enjoy it wherever he goes, be it Pittsburgh where he was emergency qb3 for six games, lost the last five but was still always formally qb1 on the depth chart, or the Giants, where the thought of having to put Russ into a live game is a Payton meme.

Ben DiNucci doesn’t even rank Russ among the top 10 athletes he saw on ps.

We are all forgetting who the real villain in all of this is. It is 100% Pete Carroll. The guy coddled him to the point he no longer improved his game. I 100% believe Russell could have been much better than he is if he let the LOB go at Russ. If Russ is as competitive as he says he is, he would have no problem with any of the team trash talking him. Its how they were trying to make him better. If Pete didn't meddle and coddle Russ, I 100% believe that no one would question Russ being a hall of famer because he would have been that much better.

We are seeing the same thing with the Raiders. He's showing that favoritism to Geno while calling out players who are actually performing.

Thin skin is yet another reason why I’m sure Winston is taking most of the reps on scout team where the f-bombs and in-race n words fly and where qbs may be hit illegally and often. Daboll does not want Russ tattling to him about hr concerns that me3 media might be making public. Meanwhile, russ gets to hang out more with the actual 1s like he wants while Daboll tells himself that this justifies Russ being the immediate relief option despite the fact that he had an emotional cardiac event in public over dart’s concussion check.

This is what I mean by Russ privilege. No one wants him, but once again, they tolerate him.

Even when Russ comes up with a good zinger, he still comes off sounding like a complete douche. I can't stand when people litter their own tweets with laugh emojis after making a joke. I don't text with teenage girls, but I imagine that's something teenage girls do.

This is ridiculous. Russ is a grown-ass adult whose immediate success coming into the league was a product of him being a scrappy, ultra-motivated self-starter, determined to defy the odds. If he stopped pushing, it's not because someone coddled him against his will.

Russ became about Russ and it changed everything. He has no one to blame for his drop-off but himself.

Then Pete should have treated him like a grown man instead of a 5 year old.

Doesn't say much about Russ as a leader if he struggles because someone else isn't pushing him hard enough. Although, blaming his problems (through his PR team) on someone else is pretty on brand for him.

Why does russ continue to enjoy largesse to this very day? Why are Daboll and Payton both backtracking on Russ when it is clear that they were reacting to him in their words and actions? His ending his career as a supposedly future hof should be a priority to no one but him.

Well it's hard to learn sometimes when you are in a safe bubble guarded from any sort of criticism. Pete basically praised everything he did even when it wasn't good. Russ started becoming delusional about how good he really was and Pete just made it worse. The entire team was becoming better by pushing each other. They wanted the same for Russ but Pete excluded Russ from all of that thinking he was protecting him.

Payton shared his Russ comment with owner John Mara and then publicized it. That was petty. But it doesn’t make his observation less true.

People would have respected Wilson if he showed his honesty and came back with a bit of fire rather than Robo Talk going back to his rookie season. That how he lost the respect of his team, why Pete thought he had to be coddled. Hell going back to the NC days actually when Glennon was announced as QB and he pouted to Wisconsin.

Every single NFL player has come out in defense of Russ on this one. Payton is a clown.
