Many guys in the league are religious. Guys start off postgame sideline interviews all the time with “I’d like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”. There is usually a bipartisan prayer circle with players of both teams. A lot have been in FCA since high school.

It’s not his religion stopping him from fitting in.
