For the past year or so, I have been comparing Celab Williams to Russell Wilson, calling Williams the second coming of Wilson before the draft and from midway last season: a poor man's Wilson. I am wrong, way off, very wrong.

We here on dot net watched Wilson, we know Wilson, and Wilson was an idol for many of us. Caleb is no Wilson, not even a poor man's version.

Wilson was ready on day one, won the approval of his skeptical head coach for the starting job, and powered his the Hawks to two Super Bowl appearances. He could run circles within a circle, often in different directions, to buy an extra second or two for that hero throw with supreme accuracy. Caleb couldn't hold Wilson's jock strap.

Sorry Russ, my apology.

Caleb isn’t even as good as old man Russ

Good news for Caleb, Schneider will be convinced he can win here. And he can be had for cheap. So in 2 years, he will be your Seahawks QB…. For a few weeks anyways

I think both QBs are similar neither can read a defense the one thing that benefited Wilson was having a coaching staff that knew his skill set and developed an offense to suit his strengths. With Williams he has a HC who is similar to Sean Payton who has a system and expects the QBs to adapt. I do think Williams could be successful if Ben Johnson watches old Seahawks film when Wilson was running the RPO and throwing deep shots with minimal thinking

Caleb was wildly erratic from an accuracy standpoint in the last game. Not so much early but once they got off script?? Pretty awful on throws that really should have been completions. Airmailed a bunch of throws - no one really around him. Bad.

Therefore, he ain't Russell Wilson, not even a poor man's version.

I thought John63 got a new gig or something after Russ got kicked out of his office in Denver. No?
He quit here, followed Me3 to Denver, a few of us saw him on the
Let's Ride fan forum, they were sick of him pretty quick after his
same total defending the Me3 act.

I never looked on Pitt forums for him, I imagine after Me3's hot
game, he might pop in on Giants boards.

It must warm Wilson's heart to have a diehard fan like John63.

I believe john63 was very briefly a qb at Kansas who promptly lost his job and left but was hired by Russel Wilson for I'm not sure what. I never could figure out how he landed a radio gig in Seattle.
John 63 has radio show?
