Why did he play his worst game with the best pass protection he's been given all year if the O-Line is the problem?

Why did you watch tonight with your mentality? Why watch while hating the QB leading your team? Just to shove it in people's faces when and if he fails?

So, is that his 6th bad game against the Niners?
I am perplexed by the belligerence tonight, but no, not all of his Niners performances have been objectively bad but none have been objectively great.

He was just off all night for some reason. It happens. He wasn’t the only one who played bad but he did.

This is the problem. The announcers even called it out early in the game. "Geno is prone to streakiness". Well, this team can't afford streakiness. We don't have a 2000 Ravens, 2013 Seahawks, 1985 Bears defense to make up for it, either.

My big issue with Geno is he’s really been trying to force the ball to DK, coverage be damned.

He also seems to pull a disappearing act midway through the season. It’s been a trend throughout his career as a hawk.

His Red zone numbers are also haven’t been great.

Geno isn’t as bad as some make him out to be, but he certainly has his flaws. Any talk about MVP was absurd homerism around here.

Likewise he’s not a terrible QB either.

I think the majority of quarterbacks and teams are prone to streakiness, to be fair. There's a lot of things this team can't afford outside of quarterback play, like consistently terrible rushing production and defensive collapse.

I get what you're saying, though. The streakiness is there with Geno. I don't think it can be avoided until we stop throwing the ball 50 times a game. We're ridiculously pass heavy this year to the point where we're not even in the same stratosphere as the other 31 teams. That kind of attack is going to be invariably streaky.

I can't tell if this is a function of gameplan or QB tendency, honestly.
It’s probably a bit of both. We’d have to take a closer look to really know. That first INT looked like it was Geno forcing the ball.
