Since no one cares to look it up, we were called for offensive holding one time yesterday.

Seems like for the most part they were calling it pretty loose.

I do think the Crabtree fumble fiasco needs to be submitted to the league. The biggest problem in officiating is consistency right now and that was a glaring mistake.

But only when it's against the Hawks right?

Haven't heard one person complain today about the missed holding/facemask call on Miller pulling down Smith by his facemask on the Hawk's scoring drive in the 4th.

??? The ref signaled one thing and then they told Pete it was something else. That kind of thing needs to be submitted because it's a procedural error that should have been easily avoided.

And of course we won't complain about a call not being made against the Hawks. But it doesn't change the fact that the league needs to see the Crabtree screw up.

Officiating around the league is terrible, sorry I didn't preface my post, even though it seems like a requirement these days to not get jumped on.

Sheeessh....

Our team lost by two points in the final minute..on the road against a team that IMO made the bigger plays..Gore's 50+ yard dash followed by Kaep's 8 yard run for a critical 1st down...IN THEIR HOUSE!

Sometimes the lesser team wins...they beat us fair and sqaure.

Moving on to the Giants game.

All I ask is for people to be consistent. We ONLY see ref complaints here when we lose, never when we win. That's just bush league, and we're a better fanbase than that.

The league does review all calls, and they do grade refs, each and every week. So Goodell doesn't need us to point out bad calls. He's on it, and the league's on it.............that's why we have stuff now like instant replay and reviewable calls. 20 years ago Vinny Testeverde's head was being mistaken for a football. So it's not like the NFL is unwatchable, most games are officiated well.

That, my friend, is not true.

Check this out. Crabtree was interfered with on a play no PI was called. Also, when the Niners blocked the Seahawks punt and the punter got flagged for slapping the ball forward, however the Niners had to start the drive where the punter illegally slapped the ball which around the 40 yard line instead of at Seattle 10.

COMPLETELY disagree. I think most games are officiated rather poorly and I don't think Rog and his cronies give a shit.

I've been here over a year, and I've yet to read one single post complaining about a call that went for the Hawks. But I have read hundreds about poor officiating against the Hawks, and ALWAYS after losses. Funny, I didn't read one bad officiating call post or thread after last week's big MNF win? That's the darndest thing.

We are not 40 Whiners. There is already a coach that does it to perfection, and you saw his spittle yesterday.

So one perceived bad call on the Crabtree fumble, and the ENTIRE game was poorly officiated?

I'll tell you what I tell my kids when they complain, give me a better way of doing things. So what's your answer? You're asking human beings to make quick judgement calls in a game moving 100 mph in 20 different directions. Sorry, but that's impossible to achieve perfection. Which is why we have instant replay and reviewable plays.

Very few games are REALLY lost because of a refs mistake. We didn't lose yesterday because of Crabtree's fumble, we lost because of dumb penalties, a blocked punt, letting Kaepernick run 8 yards and having 4 players miss their gaps and angles on a 51 yard run by Gore.

It was ironically called when it was a big play. Therefore removing a good play.

Who claimed that the fumble cost them the game or said that one call is causing the whole game to be judged as poorly officiated? Now you're just making things up and stirring the pot. I made a statement about one play in a vacuum, and now you're running with it. If you would actually consider what I said about it, you'd know it wasn't about a human error judgement call - it was about one official saying one thing, and then another official making a different ruling on it.

You complained about it on the first page.

Doesn't change the fact that officials are graded after every game, and plays are reviewed. If you've ever listened to Mike Pereira interviewed, it's quite the lengthy process by the league and officials office. So just because you personally aren't privy to how games and certain calls are reviewed doesn't mean it's not happening.

So when people just yell out "OMG SOMEBODY HAS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE OFFICIATING!"..........that's just dumb and makes us look like all the other bush league fanbases we complain about.

Where did I say the fumble cost us the game, or that the entire game was poorly officiated because of that call? Please provide the posts where I indicated I felt that way.

Alternatively, I can show you the post where I said that I think ONE play needs to be reviewed by the league because it was a very easy mistake to avoid and is something that should never happen in a professional environment and is indicative of a lack of consistency among officials throughout the league.

My post was two sentences long, and you have managed to turn it into "it cost us the game" and "the entire game was poorly officiated because of that call."

Officials are graded after every game but this shit continues year after year? It is time that they start suspending these non players for making season ending/game changing calls.

Looks like they gave New England the game yesterday, so yes it does need investigating.

It seems that since they got their new contract with all the guarantees that they feel impervious to anything. The one referee had a huge smile on his face when Gore made that 51 yard run.

I fear their ego has gone to their heads and now they believe that they are an integral and necessary part of the game.

Agreed. Frankly I think I preferred the replacement refs. Sure they didn't control the games very well, and were (borderline) incompetant, but at least they were equal-opportunity incompetant.
