That catch was ridiculous. Willson is a great athlete and is rounding into a complete TE, as he gains experience and improves his blocking and hands.

It's also kind of ridiculous that Russell feels comfortable making these kind of throws to Willson in coverage but not to Jimmy Graham. Carroll/Bevell/Wilson blamed Percy Harvin's departure on "changing the offense." Now, they seem to be going out of their way to make sure that Graham plays no role in the offense whatsoever. The problem with this reasoning is that Graham is 1000x the receiver and route runner that Harvin was, and he can make jump ball catches better than just about anyone else in the league. Graham is a perfectly natural fit in this offense as a Split End, go-to WR; he has the same athleticism as Mike WIlliams (the last WR to be targeted 100 times in this offense).

Graham: 10 Targets, 7 receptions for 70+ yds. I swear we create problems out of thin air around here sometimes. How does getting targeted more than the rest of our WRs and TEs equal 'no role whatsoever?' :? :? :?

Check the date on that post . . . weeks old. The GIF from the 2nd game of the season should have made that obvious, no? The last couple weeks, Wilson has shown more of a willingness to target Graham over the middle. Bevell has also shown a willingness to use Graham at Split End.
