You can spin it any way you want. I prefer to look at the macro instead of getting all bent out of shape by the most immediate results and that's how I form my opinion. Too many damaging elements went into today's loss to be scapegoating one solitary figure.
You do realize that the coaches have been consistently calling bad games and being out coached for most of this season, right?!
I'm sure that's how you see it. I don't. Much more to it than that.

Explain it then.

Sincere question: Are some of you that shortsighted that offense is all you can look at? Appears that way to me. If you don't get the game, I understand, but there was a hell of a lot more going on in this loss than an offensive gameplan.
Offense does well = "Wilson killed it today!"

Offense does poorly = "It's all Bevell's fault!"

Wilson does the most destruction on the broken/sandlot plays. He is not great at timing routes. It's not a coincidence that we go through huge lapses with no cadence or rhythm. Why this is still a mystery to people is beyond me.

hmm and yet he still has the 2nd best Qb rating in NFL history so that would mean you are wrong, Your attempts to always make anything negative be about RW is laughable when the reality is as all the experts have said with out Rw we would be lucky to win 4 games. So lets see the experts a guy who has shown he hates RW...Hmm Experts win you loose enough said. oh and FYI the wholel run in late 2015 was mostly timing routes, you know the part were Rw went on a run like no other in the NFL. HMM s much for timing routes being a problem as clearly they are not.

I'm not talking about Bev specifically. I think we need to overhaul the entire offensive philosophy. Take the macro view then. Last year, the offense was awful, but Russ was hurt.... it was still bad when he got healthier. This year, it's been bad with a healthy Russ. The only complete games by the offense were vs. the Texans and vs. the Eagles. And in the former, we had something like 5 RB rushing yards! Wilson has to do everything in this offense and it's not fair to him, especially when the OL gets owned like it did today.

What we have been doing for the past two years has NOT been working. You can't claim this is a one game affair. This has happened too many times for that.

As usual, you gloss over the particulars as why that would happen and target a scapegoat. That's the complexity part.
Defend Bevell's habit of calling a bunch of long-developing routes all game while the D-line was just smoking our O-line almost every single down.

Use your words. We're waiting.

Hardly. Look at the Philly game. Quick-strike passing offense helps mitigate O-line shortcomings a LOT. How often do we do it?

Pete is either going to retire or nothing will change. Don't waste your time hoping for something that won't happen. If Pete is back next year both Bevell and Cable will too.

Don't you guys wonder why the Seahawks offense has never been truly great even with Wilson here? Is it not obvious yet, the guy that hasn't been offered a head coaching gig in that time.

I completely agree with you when it comes to stabilizing the line. A new approach is needed. Russ took too many big hits yesterday.
