Both Young and Bobo have a place on this team. We knew about Bobo's smarts and toughness and hands before the KC game. Yes, it took Lock making a couple terrific throws for Bobo to get his two TDs. The screen TD, Lock put it in a good place, harder than it looks (just ask Jalen Milroe) and the OL did a good job with the blocking.
That said, I have been impressed with Dareke Young the last two games, getting open downfield and making catches. Young has been the elusive Tasmanian Wombat for a couple years, often mentioned, but either always injured, or not good enough to get reps or whatever. Finally he's shown he can compete at the NFL level in actual (preseason) games. IIRC it took Golden Tate 'til his 3rd year before he started to really pop. So maybe Young is on that same mental calendar, 3rd year.
If it were my call, I'd probably keep both, cheap rookie deals, and release MVS and his vet salary and use the savings on fortifying the trenches. Happy to let MMac and JS and the staff make the decisions and so far they've shown their judgment to be better overall than PC's.
