Oh yes, I know. Heady words. Yet, the parallels are building.

On the slower side. Check.

Unassuming physical specimens. Check.

Hands made of velcro. Check.

Highlight catches are the norm. Check.

My Spidey senses are tingling here. I think our new Largent has arrived.

• Another Bobo highlight: The lone touchdown drive in the 15-minute scrimmage session was capped by another highlight-reel catch from second-year receiver Jake Bobo. The former undrafted free agent made a twisting, acrobatic 8-yard TD snag in the front corner of the end zone, using great body control to corral the pass inside the right boundary. It came after the 6-foot-4 Bobo made a spectacular diving TD catch in Tuesday’s practice.

“I don’t see him drop a lot of footballs,” Macdonald said. “It seems like he comes down with a bunch of them. I think he complements our receiving room well, and then we’re really excited in the (special) teams phase. I think he provides more than a normal receiver would provide in that phase too. It’ll be fun to see how he fits into the receiver room and how that thing all shakes out, because we’ve got a lot of talent.”

No. But he's a hell of a player. Not DK good, but damn good. Largent is one of the best WR's in the history of the game. He's the #4, and a real good one.

Love the kid, but let's see him play a couple of seasons before we crown him. :)

I see more JJ, but with better hands. And JJ had great hands…but bobo catches stuff he has no right to.

I haven't seen enough of Bobo to have a great feel for his game, but like others I see more JJ or even Sidney Rice — big guys with body control who rely on their size and positioning to catch contested passes (although I don't remember how good Rice's hands were).

Largent's game was about IQ and guile (and underrated quickness). Honestly, the only Seahawks WR whose profile feels that similar is ADB. They were both somewhat undersized, not super fast, but were always somehow wide open. That's not a part of Bobo's game that I've seen.

Nah, he's not even the First (or Second, or Third) option at WR. Every year Seattle has a JAG that stands out at WR or RB and everyone edges over them. He'll get his 20ish receptions and move the chains a couple times, maybe a TD or two and that's it. He'll finish his career here with stats that look like a solid WR2 season stats. Cool name though.

I’d love for this to be true but I need to see a LOT more for a much LONGER time frame before I will even consider that comparison.

I think Bobo could be like Ernest Wilford (formerly of the Jags) during Wilford's best stretch as a pro. 35-55 catches, tons of red zone value, tons of value in the run game. That's nothing to sneeze at.

All kidding aside, this kid has that "it" factor. Whatever that means. You can see it. Unassuming, not elite athleticism but the dude just catches almost anything thrown his way. I would love to see him in a regular rotation. Lockett is getting up there, maybe spell him some series. CLUTCH in the redzone. He's fun to watch and I hope he has a long career with us filled with fun highlights.
