All kidding aside, this kid has that "it" factor. Whatever that means. You can see it. Unassuming, not elite athleticism but the dude just catches almost anything thrown his way. I would love to see him in a regular rotation. Lockett is getting up there, maybe spell him some series. CLUTCH in the redzone. He's fun to watch and I hope he has a long career with us filled with fun highlights.

He should be able to beat out lockett then. Otherwise Tyler is my largent legend until proven otherwise.

I don't see the Bobo hype. He's an easy guy to root for, but it's hard to imagine him being anything other than the fourth receiver (maybe third) on a good offense. There was a YouTube video, which I can't seem to find, that had all of his snaps from last season. And basically, if he doesn't win off the snap, he's vacuumed up and removed from the play. Good hands. Good technique. Good story. But he feels more like a meme than a potentially legitimate difference-maker at receiver.

Justin Forsett vibes.

I think our next largent already came and went. ADB ... had he played on any other team in a traditional passing offense, he would have been a HOF. As it was he was a phenomenal... but in 'sandlot central', only a shadow of what he might have been.

Bobo shows promise but there's a vast chasm between the best of what he's done to date and the player who can perennialy make big plays in big moments and consistently be the guy to carry an offense.

Bobo is Jerry Rice if Jerry Rice wasn't allowed to wear those gloves with illegal stick-em on them

Not the same position, but a guy that was tough a great teammate, caught everything thrown at him, but was not an elite athlete, Madden loved him, Stabler loved him, was his safety valve. Funny thing he was a FB, LS and asked to play TE which he initially rejected. Good all-around athlete, not Elite but tough.

I'm just glad I got a few jerseys before the price skyrockets. With the market going nuts, it's nice to know I have a source of wealth in the closet

He got shut down by opposing defenses second half of the season IIRC.

I liken Bobo to a reliable but not overused tool that is almost always available in the Hawks' Swiss army knife offense.

I see the similarities, but at this point I think I see a little more Paul Skansi in Bobo than Largent.

For those who weren't old enough to see it in person, Paul Skansi was the definition of CLUTCH, especially on 3rd down. I honestly don't remember him ever dropping a 3rd down pass. His playing time was really limited early in his career, but it grew until he became a starter. And, what a topic to bring up one of the best improbable comeback wins in Seahawks history that featured Mr. Skansi:

Anyway, that's who Bobo reminds me of at the moment. With more playing time though, I might change my mind.

Oh yes, I know. Heady words. Yet, the parallels are building.

On the slower side. Check.

Unassuming physical specimens. Check.

Hands made of velcro. Check.

Highlight catches are the norm. Check.

My Spidey senses are tingling here. I think our new Largent has arrived.

• Another Bobo highlight: The lone touchdown drive in the 15-minute scrimmage session was capped by another highlight-reel catch from second-year receiver Jake Bobo. The former undrafted free agent made a twisting, acrobatic 8-yard TD snag in the front corner of the end zone, using great body control to corral the pass inside the right boundary. It came after the 6-foot-4 Bobo made a spectacular diving TD catch in Tuesday’s practice.

“I don’t see him drop a lot of footballs,” Macdonald said. “It seems like he comes down with a bunch of them. I think he complements our receiving room well, and then we’re really excited in the (special) teams phase. I think he provides more than a normal receiver would provide in that phase too. It’ll be fun to see how he fits into the receiver room and how that thing all shakes out, because we’ve got a lot of talent.”
Please stop, there will NEVER be another #80. (I jest)

Having said that, I “get it”.

I also pine for another generational player of that caliber, I’d be 💯 stoked if Bobo was that guy, I’m not convinced he will get the chance however.

Not very fast…not necessarily a physical ‘specimen’.

100% baller.

With so much focus on DK, JSN, and Tyler…I think we’ll be able to get Bobo going.

It’s going to be interesting to see how he fits into Grubbs offense.

Every team has a fan favourite #4 or #5 WR.
Remember how awesome engram was to have for 3rd downs?

#3’s and 4’s can make a big diff…especially if the OC can disguise their utilization. May not get 1000 yds, but can certainly provide value.
