Young is ok, serviceable, but PLEASE do not insult Bobo by comparing him to Young.
Young is a big bodied, downfield to intermediate threat in like an empty set. Bobo is nice tho another tall target with the ability to find a soft spot in a zone. Some receivers have no clue when it comes to sniffing a hole up the middle on a hot route.

I’m over Bobo. Good story, just not fast enough to be an NFL wideout.

If he wanted to pack on some muscle, try him at tight end or linebacker.

“What a dumb take Jerkhawk, you think it’s that easy to switch positions in the NFL? I bet Bobo is better than you, loser.” - Typical .Net response.

Fair enough. The Bobo lovers constantly talk about his downfield blocking. Try him at tight end. Just do it.

Young is better than Bobo.
Bad take. Bobo showed tonight that he belongs on this roster

Seahawks have a tough choice to make if they only keep 5 WRs. They may be forced to keep 6. Rookie 7th rounder Dareke Young is big, fast, can catch and reportedly is excellent on special teams. Fan fav Jake Bobo also is big and excels on special teams. He is exceptionally slow, but has all-pro hands and body control (0 drops in two pro years) and knows how to get open. Plus, at 6’4” he is a proven red zone threat. If forced to choose, I’d take the Bobo. Catch ability like his is hard to replace.
Young is not a rookie. Drafted in '22.

If they keep 6 WRs then they probably keep only 3 RBs, which means either Holani or (more likely) Damien Martinez are released. This may come down to who JS thinks he can sneak through waivers and sign to the practice squad.

It was great to see both Young and Bobo have successful game last night. Each did it his own way and both worked very well.
Lock was downright solid last night. Probably his best showing since associating with the Seahawks.
I would really hate to be a coach having to do the down to 53 cuts. We are going to lose some very solid players when that happens.

Both Young and Bobo have a place on this team. We knew about Bobo's smarts and toughness and hands before the KC game. Yes, it took Lock making a couple terrific throws for Bobo to get his two TDs. The screen TD, Lock put it in a good place, harder than it looks (just ask Jalen Milroe) and the OL did a good job with the blocking.

That said, I have been impressed with Dareke Young the last two games, getting open downfield and making catches. Young has been the elusive Tasmanian Wombat for a couple years, often mentioned, but either always injured, or not good enough to get reps or whatever. Finally he's shown he can compete at the NFL level in actual (preseason) games. IIRC it took Golden Tate 'til his 3rd year before he started to really pop. So maybe Young is on that same mental calendar, 3rd year.

If it were my call, I'd probably keep both, cheap rookie deals, and release MVS and his vet salary and use the savings on fortifying the trenches. Happy to let MMac and JS and the staff make the decisions and so far they've shown their judgment to be better overall than PC's.

Yep
Bobo's body control is exceptional. Could be the best on the team.

Bobo doesn’t get to see the ball that often but when he does it is spectacular. He is the ultimate decoy. All the teams read .net and soulfish keeps telling them how slow he is and then we sneak him into the end zone cause they think all he is is a slow blocker might as well be tight end.. HA!! SUCKERS!!! Bobo can fly and run through a train and eat 50 hard boiled eggs… cool hand jake

They can keep both and release MVS instead. Speaking of MVS, nothing like a speedy receiver who can't catch. It's like putting a cone on the field and hope it stops the pass rush. The top 3 receivers are JSN, Kupp, and Horton. Right now, I have Young, Bobo, and Ricky White ahead of MVS.

Cones do stop cars. One time on a jobsite, just for the heckuvit we put a bunch cones out in a parking lot just to mess with stupid drivers and they all got confused until we got caught and had to move them. It was a great waste of time

Yep, he had a spot locked up given that it’s generally improbable that multiple young guys show up. But a few of them certainly have, with Horton able to provide legit second/third WR production.
